This is just the prototype, we have to wait for the final product to confirm this.

the prototype for DX01 is just as awesome as the figure.

No its not and its is way off! The eyes are huge on the DX01 one final product, whereas in the prototype they look smaller.

The superman prototype is different to actual figure.

So all I am saying is yes this looks good now but we need to see the final product before we can say this is the best one out there.

I think they mean blueish purple as opposed to just purple.

It's the goddamn same. The protos are posed properly so the eyes don't look googly. Only thing that differed is that the actual figure had in some ways a better outfit that the DX01 proto. But the paint was more crisp on the proto.

It looks completely different to me, maybe your right it is the paint and the way they posed it. I still do not think we should rush in and say this is the best mass produced figure there is because it hasn't been released yet.

it cant change to drastically.
the superman changed for the better right?
and i know i will think its the greatest mass produced figure by far.

Yeah I think so, but that is debatable.

Well the promotional pictures of this figure are not that good, and so many people want the head sculpt changed on facebook, they hate how it is too wide. I agree with them, but I think this figure is good enough to released, but too soon to say figure of the year IMO. Despite the wide jaw, all I care about is that if it looks like Ledger as the Joker, and these pics at comic con prove that it does IMO.

These pics look beautiful, I take back what I said Maglor, you were right the sculpt does look Like Ledger's Joker more than Adams,despite the heart shape face.

I was worried about it looking bad from front on but this is pretty much front on. So I am really happy with this. Well done Hot Toys

I know what you mean. But it is an over coat. The DX01 kind of makes it just look like a long suit coat, whereas the extra bulk on this definitely makes it clear that it's an overcoat.

i like the promotional pictures more than any other pictures i've seen.
and im saying greatest mass produced figure ever made by far.
because that is what i know it is to me.
i like the main sculpt better than the laughing sculpt so
even if there was no laughing sculpt and no kato i would still feel this way.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone PS the head to "correct" the issues with it. I'm seeing a ton of Ledger in these new SDCC pics, and I'd very much like to see what it would look like with improvements. It's a little difficult for me to judge any inaccuracies when the only things to compare them to are arrows and circles.
