You are.. but only because you're making that statement based off of a prototype. You should reserve judgment until the actual product is in-hand and we can see what the finished piece actually looks like.

But based strictly on the prototype.. I agree.

What I'm wondering is: is the pencil meant to be used with the interrogation room table? Is there gonna be a little hole to stick it in?

I, too, agree. I'll be purchasing both the EB and the HT, but I don't see how anyone could dispute the sculpt when shots like this are out there:

I'm really sticking my neck out I know, but I'm officially going on record and saying: In my opinion, the PERS serious sculpt on this figure is the best Heath Ledger as The Joker I have ever seen. Better than the DX01, better than the Bank Robber, better than the Cop Joker, better than the laughing sculpt this comes with, better than BobbyC's, and better than any of Adam's.

Some of Adam's may look a bit more like Heath Ledger, but only just. And that doesn't mean they look more like Heath Ledger as The Joker.


Just looking at laughing sculpts, I tend to think that Adam's is better than this one. So again, I definitely think the PERS sculpt is the better of the two.

Mags, your not alone. I guess it's just us two. I said this earlier, that HT did a great job catching a lot of Joker and a lot of Heath. It's not perfect but it's the best I've seen that catches both, Ledger as Joker. I think the same for both sculpts. Everyone knows how talented Adam is and he probably has the best custom stuff I've seen. But I think his Jokers resemble more Heath than Joker. I know to some that sounds ridiculous. That's why I'm not completely sold on the idea of sculpting Heath and "jokerizing" him. You lose some of the things he brought to the table as Joker. Hell, in some scenes I can't even see Ledger. Just my two cents. Again, Adam is a wonderful artist and I'd be proud to own any of his pieces.

From what we've seen so far, I'm inclined to agree.

I think it surpasses the BR sculpt. Never been a fan of the custom sculpts overall. Some of the custom paintjobs on the BR were remarkable -- for instance ...

... which clearly improved on the HT paintjob and really brought out the sculpt. But, I think the serious sculpt on this one is the best yet.

I like the laughing sculpt a lot -- but I like the other one better.

These sculpts have more impressive detail at a smaller scale then EB's.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about that EB sculpt at all. Someone in that thread said EB's sculpt made HT's look like a Mattel figure.


I know 1/4 is nice and everyone talks about how much more detail can be done with that scale but honestly I haven't seen anything in 1/4 that couldn't be done in 1/6.

Now, I guess you could say it's easier to achieve certain things but not that you can do things that can't be done in 1/6.

The DX01 and Bank Robber proto's look pretty darn close to what we got. Although the paint wasn't quite as good, the sculpts didn't change at all.

At 1/4 fabric and leather will look more in scale and will tend to lay better with less futzing.
