Like I said, I used to be of the mind that it was blue. Then you start seeing stills, production pics, and shots from the movie and it looks gray. I'm not even sure. Let's just go with your "blueish gray" or "grayish blue" depending on how someone looks at it.

Lighting has a lot to do with it but still.

Crap. Just when I thought I was (almost) done buying Hot Toys. ******* it. The smiling head alone might require me to buy this. Reminds me of Adam's head, minus the actual hair. I'll tell you one thing though: I'm done doing knee-jerk pre-orders from Sideshow. Gonna get this one on the cheap from BBTS or Alter Ego. I don't need to be the first kid on the block to get my figure.

Those all look blue to me. It always has a tint of blue.

Even when you compare to the photos that look more grey the Hot Toys jackets are still clearly no where near that.

It really does depend on the lighting. I took this pic at SDCC last year where they had the screen used suits of Batman, Joker, and Two-face:

Its almost purple-ish grey here. In my pic the first 2 attemps HT did of the jacket is closer than the light grey they are currently using. I really would just prefer a blue one though since it looks blue in the mob scene and that is really the only time you ever get a real look at it anyway.

Since hot toys are using a new body for this sculpt, I wonder why they didn't just use the slim body sparrow or made the new body slim. The ht sparrow slim looked great with all layers of clothing. I think the 2.0 seems a little too broad on the shoulders on some pictures.

I'm on the fence about some of the accuracy things. I remember reading the long back and forth in the Kato outfit thread about proper colors, especially the jacket.

But with the point of "the blue filter makes it look like a different color"... since that's what we saw in the movie, to me that almost seems more preferable than what he wore on set.

Of course, this is a ludicrous comparison, but Eckhart worse sensor dots on his face while filming, but Hot Toys left those off the figure.

Now, I absolutely do get the logic of matching colors to what the actual clothes are, but I think I'm starting to land on the "what's on screen" side of what coloring I'd like.

I thought the same thing. I contemplated trying the switch to a slim a while back for the DX01, in case it helped with the fit. Now with the even better-fitting outfit, I'd like to try it again.

Although I don't remember the reason I eventually didn't try to get a slim (besides the price). Are they shorter or something?

Seeing those different buttons on the vest of Buttmunch's pic also reminds me of the possibility of there being . . . multiple blazer sports coats in the wardrobe department for the film.



There may very well be ones that are gray, ones that are blue, ones that are purple gray and any color in between!
