Sachiel, about the inaccuracies you pointed out.

I'm not necessarily sure that the blazer sports coat is blue. I've got a ton of reference shots and in some pictures it appears blue (I have a few from the mob scene in particular that makes it look quite blue), while others are a grey. I used to think it was but after looking at tons of hi-res shots I'm still not sure.

I think that's up in the air personally. It could be either one.

Hot Toys isn't going to change things like the socks or the sports coat because they're waiting for the perfect opportunity to release this character again.

DX 3.0 will have,

- accurate socks
- blue blazer
- light purple gloves
- accurate suspenders

- a snub nose pistol
- RPG


I'm just glad they finally added the orange lining and made the clothes lighter.

Every shot I've seen of the jacket (promo pics, set pics, film pics) has a blue tint. It doesn't look just dark grey or light grey. Yes it varies under lighting, but the Hot Toys jackets still look no where close to those.

Blue fits in with the rest of his flamboyant outfit.

If they can get the socks wrong, and forget the suspenders, they can get the jacket color wrong. It sure ain't light gray like that in the film.

Doesn't the jacket have red lining and the overcoat orange lining? If so, maybe I'm better off putting my original jacket on him.

I think they're both orange. Could be red though, or dark orange, or red orange.

Oh and the suspenders. I was just about to post "well, how do you know it DOESN'T come with them on the pants"? Then I looked at the specs for Jack Nicholson DX 08 Joker and the Ledger DX 01 and saw that in the specs the suspenders were listed.

Guess this one doesn't have them. Seems sort of stupid since the other two Jokers have them, Jack being the most recent release.

I'm pretty sure they used the image from my avvy, the one I composited the sculpt into a few pages back. That's the one Adam used and is pitch perfect match.

Yeah, I think I'm in the camp that Adam's laughing sculpt (though less detailed) is more accurate to that source material.

Yeah that's probably the reference image but clearly they would have used the other image from the screenshot showing the other side of his face for further reference

I think Adams has a little more likeness to it but clearly the HT has more detail and a stunning paintjob

Like I said before though, the laughing sculpt was Adam from 2-3 yrs ago. Some of his latest work is just as detailed as this HT sculpt and the likeness is even better.

I never looked or stripped mine down. What do they look like? I've never seen a picture of them.

There's no doubt the jacket colour is wrong

This was something Kato struggled with when we were going through the development of the outfit

He couldn't find a thin enough blue material for the jacket (bearing in mind that the jacket had to fit under the coat and over the shirt on the arms - so the thinness of the material was a big factor)

The material we ended up choosing was really out of a lack of an accurate option than anything else

From what I remember we spent a good week or two looking at a number of options before settling.

Well myself and a few members here worked with Kato on the development of his handmade joker outfit

HT saw that work and hired him for Joker 2.0, so Kato basically sold HT his handmade outfit patterns and is helping the factory production team in the mass production process.

The only part of the handmade Kato outfit that has been changed for the HT version is the shirt which is more Gray and has a different fit as HT is using a new body for this joker 2.0

Tried to see what it would look like with the mouth open a bit more, honestly, I don't like it as much.
