Opened mine yesterday, excitement turned to disappointment when I noticed several QC issues: a scratch on the cowl, right at the tip of the nose, one of the belts can't be opened - looks like the peg that holds it on the inside is wide so it's jammed and one of the cape pegs seems to be facing the wrong direction. Can someone tell me if the pegs on the stock cape are normally attached like they are on my pic?

The peg that attaches to his right shoulder sticks out awkwardly because of the direction it is facing.

Do the DX2 mouth pieces fit the DX12 or do they have to be modified? Is there anyone who just sells the mouthpieces or replicas of those? I would really like to have those pieces, but don't want the DX2 head.

I think Maglor mentioned a while back that it might be possible to remove it by pushing in from the cowl's eye sockets?

Is there no easy way to do this?

My thought was to push them in from the front using something ridged, but soft. Maybe a Q-tip with the cotton removed?

Cape clips look right to me. You can swivel them around.

The one that clips on the left side swivels, the one on the right even though it swivels it sticks out upwards b/c of the position. Tried several times to make it work but still did not look right while the left one looked perfect.

Will have to contact SS.

I finally got around to modding my DX 12 this weekend. Shortened neck, Painted eyelids, DX2 mouth, Old BuddyLee custom cape. The last 2 pics, are both Medicom's and HT's first TDK head. Interesting to see how the Medi head still looks good today, while HT's first head just looks weird. Hot Toys have come a long way.
