For what it's worth, non-HTs related, I'm bought collectibles that had tape like that on the box. Two sets, the first was cut. Then, it was like someone tried to re-seal it. And I got mine directly from a factory box, so unless it was for QC purposes, I can't explain it. No one else, but the factory (if at all), had opened it.

i just got mine today and it was the same but there is a card and a $20 code inside.

I got a batman style card with my City Hunter predator but I didn't see a code in it.

Midas arrived this morning. My thoughts about him. He has more of a satin finish than I expected. Thought it would be more glossy. It doesn't really jump out like I hoped it would. The factory added "wear" to the figure is something I could live without. I would have preferred a "clean" look. But it's only a little distracting. Also I got the Stitch Christmas Cosbaby, a calendar, and the save $20.00 card with all its restrictions. Probably won't get to use that. Overall I'm happy but not particularly thrilled. As has already been said, it's a nice figure but it's over-priced. No buyers remorse, glad I got it.

Mine's shipped via UPS too. Delivery is today but since the 6th the tracker hasn't updated yet (just left the warehouse in Cerritos) and no activity after that. Based on experience, it should be here in our locale but it's not the case. Hope no rogue brownman stole it. Otherwise, the whole pack out feature was for no good at all!

I'm getting worried now that even after i called UPS they haven't gotten anything at their end!

I wouldn't fret, the UPS tracker never seems to update when it comes to SSC deliveries. I don't even bother checking anymore
