Lol. The guy has a Midas and doesn't know what the wrist guards are for.
It was a good review, but i was slightly deflated seeing it with the elevator base that doesn't light up...
I wonder why that was done?

Laziness by HT. Wish they had a nameplate too...now gotta make custom ones ._.

Yeah I'm not believing the stand doesn't light up you can clearly see the light switch is there as well as the battery compartment.

He said there was a little note saying not to open the battery compartment.
I'll take it at face value for now.
Although i am really on the fence about whether to spend the cash on this if/when it comes up for pre-order.

The battery compartment is there but the hole where the screw should be is covered with a rubber plug. The instructions say not to remove. Also I'd like to know where the switch is that you see? I've checked mine and there isn't one. Oh yeah, that's my review. Hope you all enjoyed it

The long wait...the no name plate...no light up base...I'm losing a bit of interest on this figure but I know once it comes out PO on SS I'm gonna force myself to get one

The Midas would def look good as 1 of the armours in a HoA diorama...

Next, the exhibition will arrive in Bangkok, Thailand (Thailand Toy Expo 2014 Premiere) on Oct 16-17 at Central World and follow closely by bringing the show to Jakarta, Indonesia (Battle of the Toys 2013) on Oct 19-20 at Kartika Expo Center.

Along with a range of Hot Toys Collectible Figures that will be on display, the highly popular Midas (Mark XXI) Collectible Figure will be available for purchase during the event.

And finally, Midas will also be available in Hong Kong soon. Stay tuned with us for update! ...

Sounds like HK will recive regular stock.

Ok with that many conventions how rare exactly is this figure? 800 in stock + 800 for PO for each convention that's 1.6k and they're having like what? Total of 6 conventions? Then going to HK then the rest of the world? Geez it sounds like they made the same amount as the regular mark VII

I think the question is WHEN will Sideshow put him up. This is one of their cash grab (complete reprint with no head sculpt to worry and no new tooling at all), so I doubt HT will isolate the Non-Asian market. Right now, we know that there are 800 in Taiwan, 800 sold + 800 preorder in Singapore, 1000 in Japan, next up Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, if they keep the same number at each upcoming location, that means 6600 units already sold in Asia. Hopefully that will make the demand a little lower when Sideshow releases their stock. Wonder how many they will get.....

Expect this to be $250 most likely. Will try getting one thru SS. Definitely not going to pay the inflated price for him.

I think more than that, Taiwan had 800 for PO and 800 in stock. China had them in stock as well. So most of the conventions had total at least 1,600
