1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Spider-Man: Far From Home - Spider-Man (Black and red suit)

I made the mistake of preordering this last summer...hopefully this doesn't end up being a downgraded disappointment.

I kind of feel the same about this one. I got caught up in Marvel fever and snagged this guy even though I have the Iron Spider from Infinity War and The Homecoming suit. Then I got Spidey 2099 and the Classic suit on pre-order. For someone who's primary is Star Wars, I certainly have a lot of Spider-men

The SM3 suit looks almost exactly the same. And when they eventually annouce it, it won't be released for at least another 2-3 years. I'm glad i bought this Spidey, he looks great.

Plus odds are he will wear yet another design, if not several too. The barely changed black and red version may be in once scene, if at all once the post production team gets their hands on the footage. Remember the practical suits are digitally replaced for the final cuts, and not uncommonly with totally different designs (Capt Marvel in Endgame, the Team Suits in Endgame, most of the recent practical stand in suits for Iron Men armors have been old Marks). Hot Toys loves Spider-Man but they might not even bother release a nearly identical suit when the other one is probably still in stock, and they definitely wont if there are a lot of other Spider suits in the film

If you pre-ordered this from Sideshow, you can probably just cancel. I remember that this one didn't have an NRD.

I can?t see them missing out on releasing any of spideys updated looks from the films, even if the differences are small. If people keep buying, why not

It didn't have a NRD initially but that was only a time limited window (this was the same with the other FFH, Spider-Verse & 1/4 scale figures). I can't recall exactly when that window closed (it was reported in this and the other threads at the time) but if G ordered this from SSC last summer and not 2019, he may well have paid the NRD.

ps. I've warmed back up to getting this suit as Spidey is my favorite superhero. Justifying purchases for a toy addiction is surprisingly easy, and when it's not I've got plenty of folks on here to help!

Haha nice. Glad to see your toy mood swings are working in this figure's favor...although for both our sake's I really do hope this version of Spidey turns out well!

When is this guy being released? I only have room for one Spidey and he fits perfectly with the red & black theme I seem to have going on. And hoping to find it somewhere a little cheaper than SS

Is anyone else considered canceling your pre order for this guy and waiting for the slightly more classic version from the upcoming movie? I?m thinking of going this route also because of the possible problems with the younger looking head sculpt and seams on the wrists that we have been shown so far. Anyone else?

I did. The changes are indeed minor, but I like the minor changes. And since Hot Toys will hardly ever pass on a Spidey, I might as well wait. So I cancelled my FFH version for now.

After years of subpar Medicom Spider Man figures I'm in for any and all MCU Spider-Man figures they make. Wish I could swing the video game version too but my budget can only handle so many figures, that and I don't play the game.

Hahahahaha I did not order this (my one figure per character rule) but was very tempted. I think this figure is going to turn out to be really good! I hope it exceeds your expectations and those of everyone else who ordered it. This is a bad ass suit, I love the red fingers!

I hope so too! I think the biggest unknown will be that headsculpt. The version they revealed, Tom Holland looked wayyy too young. They also chose to give him a hairstyle I feel was inaccurate to the movie. They gave him like a Superman curl...

Anyways, fingers crossed it turns out well...we will know soon enough!
