I feel like this hope of simultaneous releases comes up time and time again, but rarely pans out. Remember when Ahsoka was DEFINITELY going to be a joint release?

Ahsoka was a joint release....as were several others. The first batch went out the same time they did in HK. They have been doing it quite a bit lately, but it's only usually a small first batch from Sideshow. But to their credit, this first batch has been coming same time as HK

I'd hardly call it a "joint release" simply because a lucky chosen few get their figures early. Like many, I'm still waiting on Ahsoka. That's not a joint release but for a handful of collectors.

I preordered him today. Used a $100 in points. Went ahead and said yes when I realized they were doing the clone wars line. Gonna have a huge display of clones and Jedi. What fun we’ll have!

Nice one mate, I reckon once this is released and not available for retail anymore this figure is going to go for a big premium on the resale market. It’s just too good of a figure to sleep on. There only one on eBay at the moment for Pre Order and even that is selling for a ridiculous price, not that I care because I don’t plan on selling him once he arrives but it’s still comforting knowing that. Just look at this sculpt!!! I’m so glad my wife got me this for my birthday this year. It’s going to have so much shelf presence in my opinion

I think I'll pick this up, the only other version I have is the medicom version but I think this will be quite an upgrade.

Really hoping this releases on Monday (the AOTC anniversary) along with wave 2 of the AOTC line. It's such a no-brainer to put this out the same day Mace Windu goes up. Then again it would've been a no-brainer to put them up for pre-order at the same time. Hot Toys will Hot Toys, I guess.

HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING ELSE besides a few minor figures for this vaunted AotC release, it would be extremely fitting if they would go ahead and RELEASE THIS DAMN FIGURE ALREADY instead of kriffing around with Venomized Diecast Deadpool Giant Carnage or whatever the %$#@! that stupid thing is supposed to be, forgive spleen but you know I am right: that new Venom is the stupidest thing we have all seen in many a long day.

There is nothing more AotC than Jango Fett and ****ing make it happen

Same here and it's kind of a crappy way for HT to say a figure is "released". If anything it feels that the small batch approach might actually delay the release of the figure to everyone.

IMAGINE!!!! the figures they could have released instead of that stupid thing, the mind boggles. Who asked for that? was it a welcome surprise? No one and nope. Wasting everyone's time with such crap.

Y'all! I am so over that thing, I saw that video on FB this morning and had the same reaction that 97% of everyone else had: lawl. The comment section was not kind and..... likewise. Hell the infamous, much-vaunted, beloved-of-Eugene-Wong "Shazaam!" would have sold better than that thing. I often wonder what they are smoking over at the Secret Lair

So wrong... yet so so right. She's number one for my PT Jedi wants atm. Well, number 2 after Mace. If we don't get her very soon I'm going to make my own.

Honestly, I think we'll get Kit Fisto in wave 2 of the AOTC line and he will open up the door to the best of the rest of the PT Jedi.

Thank God they appear to be over their venomised fetish for the meantime. I guess we just have to get used to them doing whacky stuff every now and again, someone at Hot Toys has a sense of humour (that no-one else finds funny). Remember those porcelain, gold and copper troopers? Woof!

That's exactly what they've been... There hasn't been a "joint release" that is more than a small batch really. I would absolutely call that a joint release. It's much better than HK releasing and then SS releasing a small batch two months later. They've been steadily shipping Ahsoka since the first batch went out. I'm still waiting too btw, but that's the way it is. Other places do the same thing. Small first batch releases. Do you think a joint release is HK releasing and Sideshow shipping out everyone's Ahsoka at the same time?

That's exactly what a true joint release would imply. I would hardly call Sideshow shipping out a handful of figures at the same time they're in HK a "joint release". That's a pretty wide interpretation of the term. But fine, let's go with that definition. And then let's say Jango is, in fact, one of these joint releases. What are your odds of getting the figure upon initial release? Next to zero. So but for a lucky few, joint releases don't even matter because 90% of orders or more are going to be waiting the usual 2-3 months anyway.

Bottom line, this is just a way for Hot Toys/SS to say the figure is "released" and please a tiny group of customers while masking the fact that most people don't yet have it.

I don't think Hot Toys care about that though, it's only so SS can say it's released which will put people off from buying from sellers who get their stock directly from Hot Toys.

Its all about optics for the US based company as collectors will think theirs is on the way so are less likely to do something like cancel and buy from [insert your online reseller of choice here] - either way Hot Toys get their money for the figure.
