1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode IV - Han Solo (Stormtrooper Disguise)

Finally got to open mine this weekend. My wife was going to hold it till Christmas but decided to give it to me for my birthday instead!

I’ll just reiterate what everyone has been saying. The figure overall is great. The smirk isn’t so in-your-face as it is in photos. Looks fine when viewed at a normal distance. But this is essentially a stormtrooper so there really isn’t that much to it! I took a few quick photos and will try and post them tonight.

My figure’s head is pretty wobbly. Anyone else have that problem? I know people have mentioned that problem when they swap heads and put the stormie head on the smuggler body. But Han’s stormie head is wobbly on the stormie body. I’m not going to bother returning it or replacing it. That would be more trouble than it’s worth to me. But just wondering if anyone else has found that same issue with theirs.

That's what I'm thinking too--I won't be "playing" with it, so since it still looks good on the shelf, I don't think I'm going to make a fuss. If it ends up really bothering me, I could always do something to fix it myself.

Got mine posed up today with Luke. Been waiting on this set for a long time. Trying to decide if I want to get an EF decal for Han or try to find Luke a stand like the one that came with han...

I can't believe they're going for like $100 or more on evilbay right now. I was thinking of getting one for maybe $50 or $60, but not that much.

Hot Toys could make a sweet tidy profit just selling backdrop panels.

Just realized that ROTJ troopers backdrop panel is glued on backwards. Notice the tabs along the edges.

Yeah it’s the exact same Han base with a cardboard slide in panel. They definitely need to make a proper molded one.

Yeah I’m hoping HT makes different Death Star panels like the one shown with the ROTJ Stormtrooper. I also hope that they start making all their bases compatible with the backdrops. I think the black bases that come with Tarkin/Vader would go great with the DS backdrops.

Mine has that slight seam bump. I was gonna return it but it’s not too noticeable unless up close when the light hits it. Kinda like the imperfection.

The one with the Trooper is just the Han One flipped with a cardboard image of the wall.
Be nice if starling Vader 2 pack came with some molded DT office wall like in that scene.
Making these diorama walls as a separate/individual purchase would sell as many want the stand and not the figure(s) but its probably just an added selling-point and also a great excuse to hike up their already rising prices.

Yes but then you get into the “better to buy one on Jazzs dioramas as evil bayers try and rail you over a flour sack” lol
