Question for folks who converted their tall trooper to a Han Solo. Did any of you mod the neck to look like there was some skin? (The Luke one has it)

I tried using an extra Luke neck piece on the tall figure, but it sat really low within the body and made Han look like he had very little neck. Some modding could probably be done to solve that but it would be beyond my capabilities.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. It's not too noticeable and the stock neck seems to look fine. I just have the ANH head resting on the body.

Yeah, that seemed to look better to me. I guess the best solution would be to find a painted neck that is similar to the Han head in skin-tone, is long enough and plugs into the body, and that also allows one of those neck seals to go round it.

Another option would be to combine the Luke neck with the original one (maybe cut the original down where it's hidden by the neck seal and then glue the skin neck above that) to get that little bit of added height so it looks natural for Han. I basically just resigned myself to waiting for the official release, whenever that might be.

Same. I'll just wait too.

Will be interesting what HT releases. If it's the smiling sculpt then I'll keep what I have.

If it's that sculpt then you could buy it and sell off the head. Then you get to keep the helmet with the interior and hopefully have a neck that works well with the normal Han.

I currently ended up with two stormtroopers. The Luke one and then a second tall one but picked up a Luke helmet with the interior detailing. Those are kinda pointless if they're always covered though.

True that is a good point. But because I had a spare tall trooper I thought I'd do this to save money. With your suggestion (which I like), I'll end up spending more lol. Damn this hobby!

Yeah, my stormie Han just holds the regular helmet and you really can't see anything inside it.

Who knows, but this figure is way long overdue. Maybe they're re-doing the sculpt (one would hope!).

The endless delay hopefully means an all-new sculpt.

I hope so too. But I think HT will keep it similar to the smuggler one. If they changed it dramatically it might be seen as them admitting the original sculpt wasn't good.

If they didn't like the smiley sculpt I'm not sure why they wouldn't have just released the regular sculpt. It might have been an improvement if they had a solid hair piece--might not sit has high and would at least have no seam (though it's really not bad).

Maybe the new sculpt was all about the fact that he would otherwise come with nothing new compared to the regular stormtrooper. Luke had a few new things.

Looks like they are back to the drawing board on that one. It must be jnix's Han Solo sculpt that made them go back lol.

They'd be wise to just make a deal with him to license that beloved sculpt.
