Everyone made it seem like this character was horrible. But she was merely forgettable. Just a simple extra character. Obviously if she wasn't chrome or have a cape no one would think twice about her. But Star Wars is known for having a bunch of characters stand around in the background. Its like saying "omg 4-LOM didn't do anything, he suxX!" So I still think the figure is worth getting if you like how it looks.

And people wanted her to be the riot trooper to make her role more significant, I felt after the X-Wings showed up, she should have gotten into a Tie Fighter and joined the other pilots. It would be cool if she had her own unique tie fighter like vader. Also since shes so tall, it would've been perfect if she bumped her head on something:lol

It isn't obvious in the film, but that riot trooper is actually from Finn's unit. I think his name is either FN-2000 or FN-2003. This is discussed in one of the journey to force awakens novels about Finn. So he actually gets his *** kicked by one of his trooper "brothers," not just a random trooper. It has its own emotional weight, and I think Finn will face Phasma in either VIII or IX.

Well, that actually makes sense. I was wondering how that trooper knew that a random dude fighting amongst them was a former trooper, or knew to call him a traitor. Helmet discipline is apparently a big deal.

"His name is FN-2199. But his friends call him “Nines.” As detailed in Greg Rucka’s excellent book Before the Awakening, Nines trained and served on a squad with Finn (then FN-2187) in the First Order. That explains why he seems just a little extra angry upon seeing Finn during the attack on Maz’s Castle."

Coming back hard most likely in EP8. Not everything needs to be done in one movie.

No surprise here. But i'm wondering if it will be just another Boba Fett (cool loking nothing doing movie wise) or if they actually grap the opportunity and make the character worth it's screen time.

I bet she'll have an expanded role. Someone has to keep Finn busy while Rey is off training and/or fighting Kylo Ren.
I felt like, when Kathleen Kennedy mentioned Phasma was coming back even before the movie opened, that there was a realization that people already was drawn to the character and would probably be disappointed in her role.

I've made peace with how little screen time she had in TFA and am 100% Disney will rectify this for the sequel. Still can't wait to make this a part of my display.

Probably.

Fanboys getting all worked up about screen time is hilarious.

Especially considering that it was their own preconceived notion of the character that caused them to be disappointed. Would I have liked to see more of Phasma? Sure. But I don't feel like I was promised anything that I didn't get.

I've worked it out that I'll only have funds available to buy her in August 2016 (hope she's not gone from Hot Toys/Sideshow/online 1/6 figure stores by then, because then I'll have to deal with those damn eBay scalpers.)

I don't care about the screen time, it's just a cool design. As pointed out earlier she's this trilogy's Fett.

Or she could be this trilogy's Jar Jar? Having let down the shield for the resistance, she should be executed as a traitor, whether she did it under duress or not. :lecture
