They probably saw that the Finn merchandise already released isn't exactly flying off the shelves and decided to hedge their bets by packing him in with the breakout character of the new film. I don't expect they'll release the Riot Control Trooper separately.

I'm glad someone who knows what is selling well across all the theme parks, retail stores and online around the world has decided to enlighten us with his knowledge.

Interesting. My son's favorite character in all of SW right now is Kylo Ren but when I asked him who his favorite "good guy" was to my surprise he said "Finn, because he's a Stormtrooper AND gets to use a lightsaber." So for Christmas I got him a Finn bobble-head and TFA puzzle with Finn the most front and center character and he was ecstatic. His favorite gifts of the season were the TFA Infinity Playset and remote control BB-8 but still, he really loves Finn.

Watched the film again and this riot trooper bodied Finn.

scene where he was doing work to get to the outer rim. It looked liked he heard voices, I'm hoping it's to only add gravity to planets going to be destroyed. still hoping he is not force sensitive. I like him getting through battles by luck and skill than having to rely on the force.

Too bad it doesn't include a 2nd trooper helmet with the 3 finger bloody streak across the mask... Could make this set even better by doubling the trooper as FN-2187.

I assume that just displaying the trooper body with Finns head wouldn't be an option for you? I know we'll probably get a separate fn2187, but I'd rather have the 2 pack for the options.

Just threw in my preorder for the set at BBTS. Wasn't too sure about getting Finn at all, but wanted a trooper and kind of wanted a Riot Trooper and also want a saber for Rey (if they don't include one with her). So this set is great since it gives me a 2 in1 Trooper/Riot Trooper a saber for Rey, Finn, and even a Stormtrooper Finn if you can swap heads all at a good price.

If you want a garden variety stormtrooper you got it right there also.

Plus it was such an old school action B grady set piece in the movie and one which I really responded to. Must be something about approaching 40 ��

Right.

Did anyone in the film even use that tiny blaster? Not really bugged by the lack of it on this figure because I'll be posing it with the riot gear, and main blaster on the hip.

Nope when we first saw him he was carrying the shield with the blaster and the riot batton was on his hip... he threw both to the ground when he saw Finn.

I don't know if any of them used the smaller blaster in the film but none of them carried more than the one gun during the film so I doubt it will even make it out of the box now anyway.

This set is so cool. I've been trying to restrict myself to HT's SW villains, but this pair and Rey are so tempting.
