Saw the movie again the other night... I wanna see a HT Magneto.

Ann really wants them to do an Emma Frost. Not sure if that's likely, but I guess technically she'd be third in line. Just don't see this line going that far.

I'd say Emma is further down the totem than that. The first couple you'll get is Erik and Charles so 1 & 2 respectively. I think you'd see a Shaw figure (as main villain) or Mystique (visually awesome) not to mention a Beast (they can use the already established POTA tooling) all before you'd hit Emma Frost. I would even wager as far as villains go they'd hit Azazel just to have something striking offered in the villain camp than Emma.

I hope so, but you never know with Hot Toys. They might give us Magneto and Charles or they might just give us Magneto. Im hoping for atleast 4 or 5 figures from this line but you never know which of their lines will end up like TDK with many figures both necessary and unnecessary or if itll end up like Watchmen, only giving us a few figures and not finishing the line.

I can pretty much guarantee this line will be three figs max and more likely only two. The only extensive lines HT really does are the ones for huge blockbusters, like TDK, Pirates and IM.

For line follow-through, It doesn't matter if the film is good for Hot Toys, only that the film was a blockbuster.

I'm surprised they haven't made 12" full metal Bayformers with swinging balls and racist voice chips

The guarantees are Erik and Charles in flightsuits. Wheelchair, Magneto red uniform that is the question mark on whether they'd go that far.

Wrong. HT only cares if the figures sell. All of the recent Terminator and Predator films have been piles of ____ especially at the box office. Yet there are a glutton of figures being produced because they sell. If the X-Men First Class figures were to sell to the point of not being able to be stocked they'd go all in. If not, they'll produce both.

If the Sucker Punch figures were sellers to the point of selling out everywhere I guarantee you despite the film not doing well and being viewed as a flop they'd go all in without a doubt.

I respectfully DISAGREE with you on Terminator Salvation- I loved it and thought it was a very strong film itself and far better than T3...

That is your personal opinion. Which is NOT what we are debating. The implication was that HT only cares about blockbusters. Terminator: Salvation no matter how much you like or dislike it was a commercial flop. Domestically it came short of making back it's budget by almost half. Yet we have so many figures from it because they are sellers.

That is true, but Terminator Salvation did very well overseas and not every collector is located in the US, so that could be a reason as to why the line sold so well and so in a way it sort of was a block buster, but who knows

I'm sure HT will eventually get around to making a figure. Probably next year we'll see it solicited

Hot Toys doesn't care whether or not a figure is released during it highest recognition point. I think all you have to do is look at pretty much most of their fall previews.

I can go on. Hot Toys relies on the fact that we don't need to have advertisements every 10 minutes to remember a film. Look at the items rushed to meet a release window to maximize consumer awareness. It more often than not fails to meet expectations. If I'm spending what I'm spending then I don't want it rushed.

Unfortunately this isn't a hobby that rewards instant gratification.

I think that Hot Toys are probably focusing on lines that require more maintenance.

The figures that are most likely going to come out of this line such as Magneto are basic figures so they can probably be created with relative ease.

If they are doing a 'Beast' or 'Mystique' then they are the ones who will need to be worked on hard and i believe its general consensus around here that these ones won't be the first characters out.
