It's possible... they were making a Loki from the Thor movie (there were catalog pics of it too) but scrapped that and made the Avengers version instead.

Yup, that's what I'd base my theory on. However we never saw Loki in the flesh we have seen Charles which is my only hope that he won't get scrapped like Loki.

Big difference between that and good old Charlie.

He's from an actual film whereas that armour hasn't been in a film and was just a repaint.

Agreed, there's also Barney Ross, the '66 batmobile and the USO Cap, they can't all be cancelled.

Professor X is simply longer overdue than all of those.

That aint the half of it were did this new T2 T-800 battle damage come from must be feeling the heat from Enterbay, but I would not worry I think they are timing both X men figures to be released in July to tie in with the new movie in July so expect the preorder for professer x soon since it takes an average to 6 month from preorder to actual figure in hand

Not to mention the cost how much are they asking for? I mean nick fury was a side character but he was wearing more than a suit so I will let that side but still so if you want the whole Avengers set up you are looking at 8 figures from one movie

I think our best hope is that they are waiting to put up Pro X for PO because they want to release him with Magneto like they did two for Sucker Punch and MGS.

Hopefully Emma will get a figure from the sequel since she seems to have an expanded role being on Magnetos team and all.

Yeah Wolverine the only set pics I have seen are with in a black suit or shirt less so I am begining to think he may not have a costume in the movie and I know in an Interview Howard Chan mentioned that they will exploit this movie liceance, but we have not had a formal announcement from them maybe they are waiting for the trailer to hit.

I think you will get more figures from them if depending on how much of the costume they will have to alter so Magneto for sure if the actor gives persmission for his likeness , Havok and Banshee can be done with a little manipulation , Shaw and his crew dudes in suits we can see from Colson they have done a good job with that , but it would depend on sales generated by interest in the main X men line

I really hope they're doing Magneto too, the delay would be worth it then, but hope is diminishing with every month that goes by with nothing.

We've waited since May last year, waited through all of the current 'it' license figures to go past and then they start doing side characters from that instead of main X-Men. It's mind boggling.

If it turns out they did Coulsen instead of Magneto(Or Prof. X for that matter), it simply means HT sees more profit from Avengers than X-men.
There's no need to take it personally.
They are running a business after all.
Even when it *seems* like they are looking after their fans, they are not. It's just the best way for them to make a shedload of cash faster.

Coulsan is not as financially viable as Magneto for a high end figure though, it has more working against him than Magneto

1. He's a new character existing primarily in the movies and is now dead, his longevity is numbered, whereas Magneto is a 50 year old character with continuing longevity, Magneto is coming back for sequels, Coulsan is not

2. He's makes for less visually exciting figure, just a guy in a suit with a cool gun for almost $200 whereas Magneto has more colour and a unique iconic helmet

3. Only the hardcore fans will buy him becuase for casual fans it's not worth it based on shelf presence, price and that he's not a main character whereas Magneto is a main character with a universally loved performance that'd appeal to hardcore magneto fans and casual X-Men fans

Coulsan is fine for what he is, but he can't compete with Magneto.

Magneto makes for a strategically better choice finacially

I understand you are more of an X fan than an Avengers fan, but the x factor might just be that the HT owners are completists themselves.
And as for him being a side character, that's true but he has actually been in more large-grossing movies recently than Magneto or Professor X...
I am not interested in the MKVII armour, Loki, Thor, Hulk, Fury, Captain America or hawkeye, but i will definitely be getting Coulson. He's actually an iconic guy. No super powers. Just a guy on the good guy's side, always doing his best.

But Coulson isn't up for order first, Clark just released pics of the figure. Hot Toys haven't officially unveiled him yet so Xavier or Ross may still be out prior to Coulson.

Thats true, but they haven't done official pics of those two yet so it seems more than likely coulsan will go up first even though those two were ready three months before coulsan.

It'd painfully funny, i remember after a year, people saying 'relax it'll be up for order just after SDCC', so much for that. HT need to take some points from Sideshow, they showed a protype of the Nathan Drake PF at the beginning of the month, there was no announcement of the license so no waiting for the reveal and to top it off there's a month date for the pre-order given.
