ha ha not a fan of the Abigail then i take it?
i honestly think blade is enough for me too.
although i have not had a chance to really do anything with him yet, i basically just took him out of the box and then displayed him because it was late. however, it is truly an amazing figure!

so how did everyone else pose their blades?
im trying to find a good pose for him
currently he is stood straight with legs shoulder width apart with guns in each hand by his side... pretty boring really.

here's how mine is posed right now....

So as i've said (and no one listened lol), i'm making him from pieces. Parts of him arrived today, and i'm SO EXCITED :D

But first, little horror story. Head wouldn't fit that well with the neck connector (connector too big), so after minutes of hurting my arm trying to make them fit, i started using some sandpaper to thin the connector, tens of minutes, until it fit. But that was a little useless. Why? Read below.

When i was putting his shirt on, i broke his left arm somewhere between shoulder and bicep, where there's a joint so he can rotate the arm. WTH, brand new body and i broke it.

So hmm, let's glue it. Went to get some glue, there isn't any. Great, let's go to the supermarket. I went, bought some super glue, came back home. Tried to glue it but no success, there just wasn't enough contact on the parts. And i thought, even if i glue it, it wasn't going to be strong enough to actually rotate the arm like it was intended. So, what now?

Hmm, let's try hammering a nail on both ends, so that the arm can still rotate. Start hammering a nail in the arm, much too tough. I have another bright idea, let's heat the nail with fire, should work. Did it, didn't worked that well, so i abandoned that idea (plus i realised it was really hard to pull off and also stupid). So, what now?

AHA! Replace the body with one from another figure that isn't as dynamic as blade. And i chosed the BR Joker. Strip joker, dress joker on the broken body, dress blade on joker's body. But how did i solved the broken arm? Taped it :D Took me 2 minutes. I lost the ability to rotate his arm (but of course, can still rotate the hand), but he was with his arm straight holding a gun anyway. PHEW!

My hands are hurting, but at least i can sleep happy tonight xD

Here's what i have now:

And a more general pic, with terminator's pants (still needs some adjusting):

On its way to me is the vest, and soon i'll buy the coat and hands+weapon.

^^My thoughts exactly. I cant tell you how many times Ive proceeded to go the route of purchasing a figure "piece by piece". It never works out for me & never will, long as you have dumb ass eBayers. A head will usually go for $50-$60+. The correct body can get up to $70. Then you have to buy the clothing which all are usually sold as separate pieces (jacket,pants,undershirts/wearshirt etc) altogether they end up totaling about $50. You go for ALL the accessories, thats another $50 almost. You end up paying almost the same amount if you were to just buy a brand new figure...

Good luck though viezure, maybe you want have the same experiences as me. Hopefully you'll luck up & get all you need for a reasonable price!

I was thinking about buying a figure piece by piece but it always ends up being a lot more then what the figure would normally retail for. I just chalk it up as lesson learned and to not wait if I see a figure that I like.

OK my wife did not rip my ____ing head off after seeing my latest purchase so I am keeping Blade :lol Wohooo and getting Abigail :p shhhhhh
:borg:

Evil, yeah lol, but truth be told i kinda like the process, it keeps me concentrated and "involved" in the figure more :D

Thanks star. And speaking of money, i've spent on blade (including the vest that's on its way) 132$ until now.

Thing is, i've made this before with jack and two face, from this

:)

And for the most of time i've payed well below what the figure would cost if i'd buy it complete. Well, except for two face, we all now how that ended :D

So you are just buying random parts and not the original stuff that came with the figures like complete outfits and such?

Not at all, i'm searching for those exact original things that came with the figures. BUT, if the price is toooo absurd (like, blade 2 pants for 27$+ when i could buy -and did- t2 pants for 11$, and they're just as cool and well made) and i can find a replacement for it (replacement of the same quality, bought from Hot Toys), then yes, i'll get something simillar.

Take jack for example, except the head and the red jacket, everything else is stuff as close to the original as i could find, and i think it's pretty spot on. For blade, i can't/won't get other coat/vest than the original because there aren't any that look simillar and be as good.

Bro, I think the best way is get the completed figure with all the accesories.:)

Blade is up on Ebay now for £190ish, I'd just go and buy him!!

Trouble with the T2 pants is that you don't get the stake holders. Which to me is one of the coolest aspects of the Blade pants.
