True. More wishful thinking on my part I guess.

Would be nice to see a BD T2 and T1 shootout on display at the show. :drool

I'm hoping for at least one, I'm just really puzzled by the T2 BD, I would think that any T-800 would be a no brainer, even a basic Cyberdyne, and yet, so far, HT stopped at just the one. I also would have figured the light accessories, especially compared to the T-1000, would be indication of multiple figures spreading out the gear over them. Same with this figure, he comes with only exactly what he uses up to the repair scene, no accessories from after that point.

Indeed.

I was certain HT would not touch T1 before giving us at least one more T2 T800. But as mentioned, their marketing is kind of strange at times so we will just have to wait and see.

Hopefully something new T1/T2 related will be at the show.

I really want BD figures from T1 and T2, both damage styles would make for really cool figures, but I also have a personal iconic look from each movie, which is the fully clean biker look, I have the T2 figure covered, but I'm hoping we get a T1 clean biker figure too as that's the representative look of the movie for me personally.

Same here.

The T2 T800 I have is the iconic version and the version I would want IF only one is made, but would love to have a couple more incarnations of both T1 and T2 on my shelf. My wallet doesn't though. :D

Their marketing techniques are strange from time to time but they always seem to work.
I firmly belive we'll see a BD T2 T-800 and a Police Shootout T1 Arnold eventually and regardless of how unlikely hopefully one of them on Christmas day. :D

While the current T2 figure is my iconic representation of that movie, if we could only have one T2 T-800, for me it'd be the BD. I love that design a lot, one of my most favorite in all of the films I like, and a 1/6 figure of mixed media like these guys, and especially at HT's quality, is the ultimate figure for me.

But the T2 T800 figure has been made and had that look throughout the film.

The Police Shootout is without a doubt the iconic version of The Terminator (I'll be back).

I guarantee Hot Toys will make a new version of that figure. If they don't I'll leave this board forever.

Not only "I'll be back" but the movie poster as well (though you'd need the Tech Noir handgun to complete the latter look.)

I agree with the points that favor doing it, but I think even other T2 figures have a trait that would make all these figures sure things, $$$, even if the main look from T2 was covered in the first figure, I think any T-800 from T1 or T2 would be very popular sellers for Hot Toys, so why not make them all.

I just find it odd that because of how sure a thing selling T-800s would be, that they haven't demonstrated cashing in on that yet. They made nearly every Ledger Joker look from TDK because he could sell, I think the T-800 is the same kind of character for selling figures, they should make them all, they'll all sell like crazy.

why they should do a the figure? it makes no sense to me.

boots are the same
trousers are the same
the head without the eye is to 95 % the same

with a second body you can easily build your own terminator.
i got all my parts together for this, i only need the sunglasses. it is arround 80 USD for the parts. Without a body. Here I used my Chris Redfield body.

HT hopefully makes a Kyle oder a BD T1, but I think, not a shootoutversion.

And if, it take years. If they do Star Wars, it would become a big thing ;)

Perhaps we will see a Nurse Joker at the show instead. :lol

Well I think the recent comments about Inception figures shows that HT does consider each costume and how appealing the look of the figure will be. I think they drew the line at the nurse because it'd end up with a niche appeal.

I don't think there's any look to the T-800 that wouldn't have mass Termiantor fan appeal.

Because slight similarities don't stop people from buying, people bought updates a year later of TDK figures. If it looks cool from a property people like, they'll buy.

And same pants and boots isn't much cause to not do it. They can do a new head, and should, as the hair on the damaged head in this set isn't quite right and can be improved, but it can work as a first damaged look. You then have a new tshirt and coat, plust new weapons. Whether they change hair or not from the current BD head, the new one would have the exposed Endo eye and possibly light up feature. The coat would also be tailored to the T-800 body and better fit than sourcing previously sold jackets on the net.

They should do it because it would be awesome. Not all collectors want to customize a new figure and they'd like a second release to display with the first one as well as different accessories. It's kind of like the two versions of Resident Evil characters such as Wesker and Chris Redfield that they made. People want both.

So we can have:
A correct T1 leather jacket tailored for the body.
The SPAS Shotgun
The AR-18 rifle
correct glove hands
Sculpt with endo eye and sculpted to wear new scaled Gargoyle glasses
Second damaged head from semi.

time will show ;)

I will not wait one or two years, and then? maybe nothing.
the ways off hot toys are stange.

my hope was a t2 terminator dx with bd. now we get indy. not bad, but not a terminator.

That is something I'm slightly concerned about. They've got so many amazing licenses now I wonder will they sort of forget about the cool ones that they've already embarked on but not completely finished.

Well since landing the ability to get Arnolds likeness rights, I hope to see more of his characters.

Conan The Barbarian
Commando
Running Man
Last Action Hero
