They are doing it in 1:4 scale, not sure if we will get the 1:6 version though. I really would prefer it in 1:6 myself, I'm not into 1:4 scale cause I'm not into statues, I feel that even though they are making these 1:4 figures articulated they are just to big and clumsey. Hot toys are figures are called high end collectibles, but in the end there high end action figures and 1:4 does not translate well into an action figure imo.

If they don't do that figure in 1/6 that would be a travesty. Furthermore it wouldn't even make sense considering we have all the rest in 1/6. When I heard they were doing it I flipped...then I heard it was in 1/4. I'm just not going the 1/4 route.

:exactly: I know some people are excited about 1:4 scale action figures and I would be lyeing if I said I was'nt curious about them, but they in the end they are not practical for most as a collection, just maybe one or two for those like myself who perfer 1:6. I may pick up the hot toys 1:4 police shootout cause I'm sure it will be off the chain and will be a centerpiece for my collection. As for the hot toys endos that will be coming I will stick to the 1:6 version cause I'd rather have a couple of those instead of one 1:4.

Looks nice:clap Theres a whole lot of awesome on that shelf:hi5: Reminds me that I never opened my t-1000 yet, I should get to it sometime this year:panic:

Nice set up Kara! I like how the T1 is in front and in charge. I have mine with no accessories, just fists to the side, lookin dead ahead. The figure is just total bad ass.
Thanks guys. Yeah, I thought 5 on a Detolf shelf would look too crowded, but I actually really like how that turned out.

Skull, T-1000 really is an awesome figure, though best if you have the donut head IMO. If not for that extra head, I'm not sure I would have picked him up at all!

And T1 should be in charge. Best version of that character, and the best HT Terminator figure by far. The DX surely won't be dethroning him, either. I actually do hope a future police shootout version will be as good or better, but Tech Noir is just about perfect. One of my top 2 or 3 figures in my whole collection. I've actually got 2, and the figure with the battle damaged sculpt is on my shelf in my office, staring at me as I type :D

Yeah tech noir is the best figure hot toys ever produced imo. I have the donut head but that to is with the sarah connor that I have never opened as well:slap. I'm Planing to redo my second floor this summer and create a display room/ mancave, when I do I will get a couple more display cases and open some stuff up. As for the coming dx I don't think it will even dethrone mms117 from what the proto pic look like now, hopefully that changes.

Yes, I know is not exact than AR-18, but it is very similar. Pefect meanwhile nobody release a real AR I think.

What about this glasses, looks great:

Has anyone found out where the hell these came from yet? I thought there was an interest thread anyway?

HT just needs to stop ____ing about and get on with this figure anyway.

Seller had them on EBay for around $35, there was also a link to some cheaper looking ones a few pages back. They are what are on mine, I decided not to cut my original BD T800 sunglasses up.

Vialli had an interest thread going but ended up not being able to come to an arrangement with his guy. I think he offered to put people in contact with this chap if they still wanted to pursue it. But the asking price was a little too much for my tastes. I probably would have paid it last year but not now, especially when HT has revived its T2 line meaning theres a chance they will do an official police shootout figure afterall.

Exact! I had put some freaks in contact with the seller. :wink1:

To be honest I don't see Hot Toys doing a 1/6 scale T1 Police shootout any time soon. I don't think they would want to produce anything that might cut sales of their new 1/4 scale coming out. Now after their inventory is gone and there's been time for retailers to get rid of their stock then I think we may see one, but that could be a year; possibly two after the release.
I know it seems like right now Hot toys are just throwing the figures out there, but all this over production and retailers having stock left over that they’re having to discount to move is going to catch up with them sooner or later. Besides Marvel seems to be the one they’re riding the hardest anyway, look how long it took them to give us any new Terminator figures at all.

Good point. Makes you think about how their 1/4 scale venture is risky from a certain point of view - by pissing off 1/6 scale collectors who just want them to finish out the lines at that scale. If their doing the Police Shootout at 1/4 scale means a long delay, or worse, of a 1/6 version that will anger people. Not everyone cares about 1/4, some even hate it. And all because HT just refuses to let Enterbay have any niche to themselves.

Having said that I still can't wait to see HT 1/4ers myself. What we saw of the endoskeleton looked amazing.

I would rather stick to 1:6 scale myself, I don't have an issue with 1:4 but just not my cup of tea, but I may be temped with the endo. My 1:6 terminator collection needs a t-800 endo, police shootout, battle damaged t2 t-800 and a kyle reese to be complete. There are a few others I like to get like a t3 t-1, tx, young john conner, and a t850 but those are not must haves.

hadn't seen Terminator in years....watched it on netflix a few weeks ago...some of the lines in the movie are pure comedic genius...
10:30 mark to be exact....

Why did they decide to do him in 1/4 first anyway? All the others are in 1/6 and it's what collectors have been screaming for for years. I really wish I could have been a fly on the wall when they made that decision.

Cool read there, thanks a-dev:hi5: At least the delays on some figures are for quality reasons, The 1:4 will clash with 1:6 anyway they do it, so I hope they make the police shootout in 1:6 cause when they teased there 1:4 endo there was a 1:6 one standing next to it so whats the differants.

Indeed I forgot about that and the 1/6 endo was definitely something new, not the old one.
