Going to get the mold making rubber & resin tonight guys

My hobby shop only has the mold rubber , so i will have to get some different stuff @ Michaels for the resin , shouldn't be a problem .

Ok guys , got the rubber mold maker stuff Look a the price , didn't expect it to be that high

They didn't have the resin i wanted so i got some other stuff , which is smaller bottles $18 ,but if it works out good , i'll get some more .

Also some Cups for mixing

I think i'm going to cut the boot strap off the left boot and glue it solid to the boot , and then make a mold .

I think this would be the only way it could be done . If not , real leather straps with real buckles and real studs , I don't have the $ for that , I appologize

Maybe if you put the boot in hot water the strap will come off without cutting it, I'm cool with making my own strap if you wanta just cast the boots without. Hate to see you cut up your only pair of orginal t1 boot, thems more expensive than my real boots these days

Okay, first off don't cut the strap off your boot to mold it. We can all make custom straps for our boots. Just slip the thing off and mold the boots. I will pitch in too, so lets get a few more people for $15-$20 range.

Ok guys , i got one mold poured . It sets overnight.
I'm gunna hold off til tomorrow on making the 2nd one because i want to see how the resin will pour into it , that way if theres any complications ,then i can correct it.

I already made a custom strap.

What did you do to make it?

Can't wait to see you final product Mike. Your dioramas are very detailed so I'm pretty confident these too will come out as perfect as you can possibly make them.

Well it's still a wip, but I used some black elastic & vinyl. I painted it silver & black and glued it. Spaced out markers with a black pen & now I am looking for some sort of mini studs to glue on the outside. I already checked my wife & daughter's stuff and came up empty handed, so now I will have to take a trip to an accessory store and find something. Thank goodness I can take my daughter, so I'm not some creepy old guy in the store. I will take pics when it's completed.

Damnitttttt This cheap resin i bought takes 24hrs to cure

Yep, thats why I'm taking my daughter! Plus, I know so many people in town that chances are I will see someone I know... Can't have that happen.

Having daughters is a curse for men! Curse I tell you!! I can't ever say no to her. 4 years old and she's already figured out that she's "daddy's girl" and can get whatever she wants.

LOL yeh, my daughter is 3 1/2 and smart as a whip. I will be spending more, but I gotta make it look legit, so I'm okay with it. I will just sneak my stuff in with hers
