Alrighty then.

I bought tintable resin but the dye and paint i wanted to use did this

There was a cheical reaction between theresin and dye

So fk it , i am casting them clear and painting them , i wanted to cast them black and not have to paint but this bullcrap follows me where ever i go.

The bubbles are beneath the surface , nice smooth cast here'

I started to paint all the little studs for the boot straps (just the square ones you see)

sorry your having such a hard time with these You could make a cloked predator with that clear resin stuff though, I'm sure someone would pay big bucks for a custom 1/6 cloked pred, just thinking out loud looking at those boots

Yeah it's been a nightmare so far
A cloaked pred

Ok i just poured the last set of boots , the black ones you see are the first sets i casted . They are still awesome boots so i may sell them to cover the expenses i spent outta my pocket for the rest of the stuff.

So tomorrow i will clean up the boots , all the flashing . Then prime an paint them all . The next day i will be making the boot straps , so stay tuned i should have these done this week and ship right out by wednesday or thursday .

Ok guys update time . I cleaned them all up & dremmeled off the areas that needed it , painted the primer and the 1st coat of black paint.

I'll do a second coat tomorrow

a pair to the right is actually T-1000 disguised as T-800 boots. cunning!

Ok guys , 3 coats of paint and a sealer coat of clear flat spray

There are minor improfections on the bottoms of the boots where i casted from , no big deal because its the bottom of the boot

Note: These aren't supposed to look like brand new boots , there will be some minor flaws , i did my best with what i had , after casting 10 pairs , the mold started falling apart

Now onto painting the silver and making the boot straps .
