Agreed. It is the superior release. MMS238 may capture a more iconic look but I don't think it was as well realised as the Tech Noir. Granted the Tech Noir does benefit from MMS238's pants and boots. But once those are on, instantly superior figure, all other things considered - a more complete package of accessories and options, a more aptly sized body etc etc.
Totally true, with the updated pants & shoes he becomes very close to the real character. Very hard for HT to beat themselves at that release.

I bought a 2nd Police Shootout version, to display the BD look. As i knew the arms didn't require much articulation, i swapped them for the ones on the Tech Noir figure. My Tech Noir one now has the double jointed elbows, allowing him to do the Uzi pose.

Hey guys, my figure is in the mail but I was warned by my seller that the head is loose due to the peg. I know some folks have answered my questions about the peg some pages back, but I was wondering will the T-1000 peg work on this as I saw one at a store. If not, what kind of peg will work without modding? Thanks!

Yeah all the hot toys body's that have necks seem to use this adapter, on some of the older figures the plastic used was more brittle so they failed from time to time, its the most common on the mms136 but it has happened to others. Nice to see this part being made available now as it used to be nearly impossible to find.

So I finally got the figure and the head hangs loose on the neck adapter with the peg stuck to the head. I checked the neck adapter and there are some hairline cracks. I don't have access to a hairdryer so I can force the neck peg in.

I was wondering if I the neck peg will still fit in tightly if there are some hairline cracks? Or is it a lost cause and I should just get a new neck adapter as suggested a few pages earlier? If only I had a hairdryer to test this out.

Oh btw, this figure has such a shelf presence, I can't believe it's an older release!

Buy the neck adapter, its those hair line cracks that are causing the ball joint not to lock into place, replace the adapter and the figures head will lock into place as intended:lecture
