Cool pic taken with my ghetto iPhone 5 lol

Good so it's not only me! Lol

Btw...did everyone else's figure arrive to them with the belt not placed through the belt loops?

Mine didn't! It was bugging me the other day, is undoing the belt much of an effort?

Also, awesome pics above showing how to do cool poses with Cap holding the shield but not necessarily showing the front of it - I dunno if you have it that way because you're having a flaking problem, but regardless, cool poses that I'll be stealing to cover up my shield's issues!

This may be a stupid post to some, but I found out something pretty cool while posing this guy. I played around with the belt and placed the gun holster in the middle of the pouches. I swear it was meant for this, the cut out behind the holster is the perfect size to fit between the pouches. The belt IMO looks perfect now :)

Even the prototype pics of this fig had the belt on the other way.

Sorry if this was posted by someone else in the past. The little things amuse the **** out of me lol

Is it just me or is this one of the best, detailed figures HT has ever released? This was my first HT and still one of my favs.

Look how ugly this looks stock...

Thanks for this tip! Worked out how to undo the belt after searching on the board a little. Was really pretty easy in the end, just had to prise apart the two metal clasps, and then pull apart the belt from each end, push them through all the loops, glue the ends back in place around the clasp and then because the clasps have the little magnets, I didn't even glue those back in place, I just used the magnets.

Looks much better now I used your trick to put the pouch around the holster, thanks! And now the trouser loops are actually used and my OCD side is satisfied, ha.

Wow I'm so glad I actually helped someone lol

It's very strange that it took me so long to even notice that the belt loops were not being used. I was getting annoyed that the belt was looking like a granny's saggy ****.

And the guide you posted is exactly what I did :)

The holster looks much better and more secure now, also strange they didn't package him like that as it's obviously built for it when you take the belt and holster apart.

My shield completely flaked on me so I completely brushed it clean until it became the "prototype" shield lol

I was about to buy a new shield off eBay, but DAMN they are EXPENSIVE!!

I have to say though, that a GREAT member (Username) here PM'd me an amazing guide on how to easily repaint my shield.

I can PM anyone who would like the guide.

1. I SUCK at painting
2. I'm very impatient when it comes to waiting for something to dry. I was supposed to wait all day for the red paint to dry...I waited 1 hr lol

The complete repaint took me 2hrs to complete and it may not be perfect, but very acceptable for my standards :)

This was the first layer.

Nice! And would love if you could PM the guide!

Also, I really do love the figure (flake issues aside), but it's funny how much futzing it takes to get it just right. I only realised recently that it was packaged with longer feet pegs, so I just had to replace the shorter ones Cap has in place out of the box to fix him from being quite such a short arse compared to Iron Man / Thor etc. Then there's the belt issue - again, pretty easily fixable, but just strange that you have to do it yourself when it's something Hot Toys could have done for you (though that makes it more satisfying, somehow!)

PM sent! I never even thought to install the taller ankle pegs, and I've complained about his height. I can be stupid sometimes lol

Thanks for the info!

Same here. If I haven't thanked you already, Thanks, Username, for making those pieces aware to me a few weeks back. :hi5:

Could I get a guide too? My cousins shield is flaking but he's not very experienced in painting. I'm thinking about buying this guy since the new cap prob won't be out for another 2 years
