Anyone out there still have the Hot Toys Red Skull? How is he holding up?

I’m considering buying one.

The jacket and some of the pleather on the shirt of the used one I bought last year all started to flake. Nothing I could do to save it so bought a real leather jacket replacement and will eventually replace some of the leather parts of the shirt

Good to know, seems like all of them I have been seeing show some flaking on the coat.

What about the size of the figure, does it seem like he would be smallish compared to figures made in the last 6 or 7 years?

No issues with the pleather. I’ve treated the jacket on mine regularly with some 303 wipes.

Do you live in a fairly dry climate?

I live in NY now and I keep my figures in the basement. It gets a little humid here in the summer but I have a dehumidifier down there that keeps the humidity around 30-33%.

I don’t have any problems with flaking with any of my older Hot Toys

Yeah I’m in Melbourne, Australia and it can get humid at times, 60% but I’m pretty lucky I guess. I really should get a dehumidifier. I do have a few flaking figures though that were bought (mostly from Toys Wonderland lol!!!) with them already flaking. Once is starts it’s pretty hard to stop it.

Well it seems as though you have found a pretty good approach to taking care of your pleather overall.

He is a bit short. I put him on the Worldbox at020 and that helped him fit in better and fill out the uniform more. For whatever reason, HT put him on a slim body with a padded chest

That’s great! I tend to not have issues with pleather unless I buy them used. The one I got was a pretty good deal though as it came with two bodies, uniforms and boots for less than $200
