I think they did the Samurai too early, HT could have made him at the end that would be better. You know cause people consider him to be such a fantastic masterpice, the best comes at last you might say. Even though I don't think that Samurai is the best HT Predator at the moment, maybe this will change if I get him or maybe not.

i have plenty of them (well actually 3 in hand and 1 given away as a gift), and they feel (material) and look (black areas / bone color) way better than the HT variant (i have it too).

I just watched an elder go for $335 on ebay. I have always loved this figure but couldn't justify spending $1000 on a figure, so I stayed away. Glad I didn't jump on it before now. I still can't believe elder has gone down in price that much though. I knew the HT preds were dropping in price but I had no idea it was that bad.

It was P2 Elder, A fellow friend of mine was out bidded in that auction. Shame I just paid $700 USD for mine....

Tell me about it! I've got the original Predator 2 City Hunter MIB for sale and can't shift it. Shame coz its a great figure jut doesn't fit in my collection anymore
When I get my money right to the point where I can add a new pred to my collection I think I'm going to look for an older p2 instead of the newer one. I know Hot Toys has made improvements but I think I still prefer the older model. The head sculpt is a big deal to me. I said I was worried long ago about them re-using that classic head and they did. It was ok for Shadow, not here. Another big deal are the proprotions. Predators have big heads! I know I heard the arguement about it being because you have a human actor with a big mask on but really it makes sense for the preds. Especially when they're wearing bios. It's almost like if you took a human in shorts and a tank top and then put a space mask on him. Anyway thems my opinions. If I had the extra cash to buy the older p2 with an extra head and the newer p2 I'd probably do that as well. Then customize it like P did his. Although if you're going that route I'd probably try to smooth out the bio and get the ultimate p2 figure going.

Yeah I def thought about jumping on it. but I only just stumbled on it in the last 14 min of the auction, and I really don't like to impulse buy. I'm def gonna keep an eye out for one in the future now though. All of the predators are down in price I also saw a Scar go for $450 a few weeks back, and who knows it could be going for less now.
