Eh, I'd rather have the bio smoothed out than there be no changes at all. Not like it's a leg or knee plate.

I know. What the hell happened...

But everything else is roughed-up just as much. The shoulder armor, the chest armor, even the gauntlets.

I love accurate custom parts just as much as the next guy, but I could never bring myself to buy a taylerdurden bio purely because it stands out so much from the rest of the figure. Different texture, different color. I guess I'm alone on the whole consistency thing. :dunno

Definitely hoping for a mandible fix. It would be easy for them, too.

I actually think the bio on the figure has more of that rough texture than the other pieces of armor. I feel like I should take a chisel to it. :lol

And I've always thought that P2's armor was naturally more rough/coarse than his bio...but that might be because I'm so used to the first HT P2.

Either way, I'd still rather have it smoothed out. Personal preference I guess.

I never really viewed the bio masks as being just another piece of armor anyway. They're in their own individual category to me.

by the way any caverned metal would be fragile. caverns would be not a reason themselves but a result of bad melting, being a reason of fragility in its turn. so there is no point in tsang work at all.

i still think that he does everything that - bad textures, crazy cat's face sculpts - on purpose. he sits on his butt, counts numbers of sold abominations and laughs himself out.

do not know about alone or not, but as for me, i always remember:
- predators don't see colors / textures and don't give a ____ about them as long as the item functions.
- due to the first point all predators have mismatching pieces of armor, including P1's helmet which in several scenes looks more white and plastic than other parts.

- tylerdurdem's helmet looks excellent on either P1 or ssang's monster due to both points above.

so difference between helmet and other parts is not just an option - it is a sure style thing.
and so if HT smoothed the P2 helmet and left everything else untouched, it already would be good and matching the movies.
luckily i do not care. i'm using tylerdurdem helmet on the new P2 body and Silentsurfer head instead of ssangs crazy craps :)

(oops. edited all "coverns" into "caverns".)

What I really dislike about this figure (and the classic for that matter), is that the body proportions look totally off to me. IMHO the build looks nothing like P2, which is very disappointing considering HT sacrificed posing for aesthetics.

if neca gets the netting right on their 19 inch p2 and the paint matches and is accurate this time around, i will get it and pass on ht's p2.

If they get it right......

somehow i don't think neca will. but maybe.i have quit neca already,so if they fell no big deal, and have my last ht pred. for sell, i'm kinda sick of both companies bull____.
sideshow's predator stuff is just as inacurate, they love their own artist touch instead of movie accurate.

We need a fourth company to enter the Pred market. Fourth time lucky right...:rolleyes2

;)

Is tankman sculpting this one too?

I think so.

id love to have faith in neca. But leaving your room and not knowing if your figure will be broke when you return due to a shelf dive cos of lack of a stand and balance is a bit too stressful going into a purchase for me. That, and i have never had a figure that dint have a problem with their joints

I've had figures tip over, but they stay on the shelf they were standing on.
For you Detolf owners, find some way to keep the door from swinging open, lest you enjoy coming home to an amputated figure.
