You have every right to like him. I have never thought of standard Cap as hating France or the French. The Ultimates version? Sure... but that isn't really the Cap we are talking about here, is it? That Cap also has taken cheap shots at folks and comes across as arrogant most of the time. Not exactly the same thing as "our" Cap.

And if you really want to get down to it, the version you are buying is the Avengers Movie version. In the movies, Cap goes to sleep towards the end of World War II and awakens in modern times. His last memories of the French would probably be when they joined the Allies after Hitler invaded Poland. The French resistance fought alongside Britain and America until the country was liberated before the end of the war.

So yeah. I don't think he hates them one bit. Good on you for liking him!

I'm Canadian and I love the film version of Cap. For me It's not so much about nationalities as it is about his embodiment of everything good that came from the 1940s, from his manners to his overly-simplistic view of right/wrong and good/evil (which I hope they address in the next movie).

Totally agreed... Cap is my favorite of the Marvel films. I thought the character was handled perfectly.

What the hell is going on with sideshow / ups/ FedEx ? I'm asking because as they switched to FedEx for shipping instead of ups I stopped getting updated emails from sideshow about my orders being shipped or placed . Another thing that pissed me off is that FedEx had me listed as getting captain America on the 20th of December so I made revisions to my schedule to be home on that date . Well I get home today(18th) and there a FedEx sticker on my door saying I missed them ! How could they have been so off with there shipping dates ! Now I have to go and pick it up . I want UPS back guys !! Does anyone know why they switched carriers ? FedEx delivers way to early in the morning while ups always delivered late in the day for me to catch them. And the shipping quotes are way off with FedEx ! Has anyone else had problems with updated emails from sideshow ?

I haven't seen anything, but when I POed the eFX cards they instantly tell you your POed products are available. I guess they haven't got their shipment.
