I have shopped from many online stores...one of the worst ever.

Short version:

-ordered 1/6 from online store for $140+ with Paypal payment - 3 1/2 weeks later I e-mailed as nothing delivered - got response that figure was sold out, site was not updated - never apologized for not e-mailing about being out of stock for 3 1/2 weeks - said another would be ordered from somewhere - waited 2 more weeks before shipped - was offered small refund/discount for trouble as still not shipped - finally sent figure almost 7 weeks after order date - never was given Paypal refund/discount at all - store never answered e-mail after figure sent...

...not the worst online store I have ordered from...
 
Wow. That sucks. I called them a few weeks ago and they said two more weeks until they get it. So I asked 3 weeks until I get it? They said no two. I think I'm done with them. Thanks for the reply.

...And it begins. Checked out my figure this morning and the shield is showing the first signs of the cracking/flaking of the red color on the shield. You can see it when you look at it from an angle - minute cracks forming in the clear coat of the red. It's called "crazing" and will eventually lead to the red flaking off a couple of months down the road.

Obviously, Hot Toys learned nothing from the Captain America :First Avenger figure and simply repeated the process. Has ANYONE had any success repainting the shield? Yes, I know it also came with a battle-damaged shield - I gave it to the First Avenger figure. I want at least ONE of my Caps to have a minty-clean shield.
 
Got this guy and gotta say now that i have him i actually really love the unmasked head and BD Shield, might even end up being the way i display him, just so much more interesting than the normal stuff, and i never was fond of the overly reflective clean shield.

Gotta say the only really disappointing part of him is the stiff boots, i was hoping for something more flexible, but eh.
