Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

congrats to those that like this and are buying it. but, to me, it looks terrible. I really don't know how else HT could have done it, but this is certainly not what I was expecting

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I didn't just repeat my point with new words, I reinforced my point with more words. I'm trying to communicate my point to you, but you have an opinion and it won't change. The simple fact is this is a product that is marketed with a certain level of articulation, an industry standard. It sounds like you want something different. Good luck finding it, I'm moving on.

I totally understand your point. My point is that these aren't the usual kind of action figures or dolls. These are expensive, highly detailed, realistic collectibles meant for display. Hot Toys said it themselves. These aren't toys. Hot Toys tries to make them as much realistic as possible, if they can avoid visible joints then they will, if they can't they'll still do their best to hide them.

The fact that they have articulation doesn't mean that the articulation points must be visible. That's not realistic, which is what Hot Toys is trying to achieve. I think this figure looks great, I was only suggesting on how they could improve it. I have figures with visible joints, it's not the end of the world for me. But I would have preferred non-visible joints. :dunno

I just want joints. I don't care if I can see them or not, but they need to be there.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

In the best situation, non-visible joints would be nice, even though I like the art of mechanics. Maybe one day they'll figure out how to hide the joints and not have the folding, tearing, oily, and degrading issues that rubber currently has. I'll be getting Hulk regardless, and just have to accept that he has very limit posing options.

I hope Hot Toys improves the other issues though. I agree that it seems they aren't putting the effort into him they should, he seemed to be coming along better before, but I'm starting to see the flaws people have mentioned. Still great, but in general, needs more work.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

a tiny bruce banner with stretched out ,ripped up pants....or just a regular bruce banner ..

As I've said before, I hope they'll include sculpted and articulated arms with interchangeable hands. Everyone will be happy!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I'd like to see it as many different poses as the articulation allows.

Then I can nitpick like crazy. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

yep no need to panic...have some dip...dont hulk out until its all revealed .....

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Interesting that they went with the end fight pants instead of the beige ones every other company has been producing him with. I'm glad they did, it makes a lot more sense.

Maybe it comes with two pairs of pant.

I still don't think it will come with interchangeable arms. The pose of the arms is semi bent, so maybe Hot Toys thinks the arms will suffice for the poses that we might try with the figure.

Not sure about those ankles but the rest has got me on board :yess:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

This must be a joke? it looks like a $19.99 hasbro figure.

I didn't want to say it, but yeah, I agree. You know, the clothing is one of Hot Toys strong points so this figure already loses in that department alone. It's hard to pull the high end collectable look in a figure like the Hulk (I felt the same way about the Avatar figure).

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

That's a better picture, hope it's just the flash. Only now I just noticed the hair on its chest

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I've been dipping in and out of this thread since these images were released, but i can't be bothered going all the way back to find out if this has been answered;

Does anyone actually know if this is the final proto-type?

Has anyone read a full spec on the figure regarding articulation?

And therefore does anyone really know what the true level of articulation is on this figure?

I'm sure i already know the answer to these questions, so to those who have speculated and made clear how they would feel if the figure does not have a decent range of articulation, well that's fair enough

But to to those who seem to have 'clearly' made their mind up and stated all of the faults with a figure they nothing about than a few con pics, chill your little backs out!!

Good grief, wait until final specs and if it's everything you said then feel free to say 'told you so', but until then, just chill and wait and see

I don't know how a 20 buck Hasbro figure looks like.. But do they have the same details and paint apps as this figure? Because if so then I wonder how Hot Toys would justify their inevitable high price of this figure.
