Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

So I just saw the avengers again and man, Hulk is going to be insane!!! I can wait to have him standing next to Ironman

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Well my question is, if the price is indeed in the $329-$349 range would it really kill HT's to throw in an extra Banner head? Would the likeness rights be all that high, if any? I mean it's a freaking 1/6 sculpt. Not asking too much imo.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Well if we look at Thor and Loki they have very few accessories, and are still priced high. So HT might just give us the bare essentials for two reasons: 1 Hulk is a guaranteed seller, they don't have to intice us with anything. 2 They want to keep the price down as much as possible.
I'm expecting there to be at least two Hulk sculps and around 3 pairs of hands. Neutral, fists and 'angry' hands (I still want them to add clapping hands but since its not in the movie I doubt it) It would be nice if they added a Banner sculpt with just his purple shirt but I don't see them giving us 3 head sculpts.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

It's gonna be fun when all the "where's Hulk?" comments become "Hulk is too much money but i'll buy it anyway" when it was because of all of those "wheres hulk?" comments that Hot Toys felt they could charge more as the demand is there :lol

:exactly: :rotfl

Hot Toys will charge high on this because regardless of any expressed demand, they've got enough reasons.

- Unique body that can't be used for anything else.
- Only 1/6 Hulk of any kind available, particularly true to a film CGI Hulk.
- Marvel Disney license.

That's enough to drive them, and they know collectors wil by because of the second reason so they're set.

The sad sad reality of it. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I'm interested in this figure as an addition to my Hulk collection so for me, lacking a 1/6 Hulk has no impact, it's about a figure of a unique quality. If this figure turns out like the early work suggest and he has a good range of posability, I'm game but if this ends up nearly a statue, I may pass, it's small, but the Marvel Select Hulk is a great statue figure and only cost $20.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Well, now we know how the new Grand High Poobah of 1/6 collecting will be crowned: Hulk with "The Bat" for his base while being pursued by Iron Man as he suits up on his gantry on top of the '89 Batmobile with the Black Widow doing a split between the two vehicles.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

If any of you have Jake Sully, I'm 99% certain it'll be the same material and joints. And if I'm right... Hulk will be epic!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I would rather pay more for Hulk and get multiple head sculpts, Bruce Banner, etc than pay a little less and get none of those things.
