I'd always go for this version over the probable street clothed wearing figure from the new film (in fact from what he's seen wearing in the trailer I'd go for the original figure over one from the new film as well)

Only thing the next Wolverine figure might have over this is a slightly more neutral looking expression on the HS possibly making the likeness to Jackman better...

I'd say it's the opposite. He only wore his X Uniform at the end of each of the trilogy movies. Rest of the time he was in civilian and had a whole film, and soon to be two whole films of civies.

I would have figured this figure would have already been released
considering the film came out nearly 2 years ago. They seem to have
fast tracked so many other figures.

Figures from old films are already late so whats another month or two. They want to release figures from current films asap to bank in the hype.
