I just bought this guy from animarket.com - has anyone done business with this company before? Their postage is expensive, so at the least I hope it arrives soon.
I've been on the fence for a while, but decided to pull the trigger! I think the sculpt / expression is really fitting for the character (when he's going berserk - very wolf like), I see a lot of Jackman in there also… and I actually like the superhero costume over the casual attire (tailoring looks phenomenal). He seems very posable - looking his best with his chin pointed down in attack mode.
He's going to look fantastic next to my other Marvel character figures!
My only real criticism is I think the teeth need to be separated / sculpted better and off white / played down, but I look forward to seeing the figure in hand - as it might not be as noticeably bad. Shame it doesn't come with a second head sculpt… at the very least a
cigar and another set of clawed hands pulling the middle finger… now that would be awesome!!! They could of ditched the cheap looking light up base and dropped the price a little. Hard to think this figure is only $30 cheaper than the RRP of Ghost Rider when it came out (whom came with a second head sculpt and a motorbike - both with light up features)!!!
My main reservations were with the price point, but I' rather get it now than miss out. Hot Toys have been strange with product editions, hard to know what to make of it… Hulk sold out 2-3 months before release?… other figures linger (Classic Predator, DX Skywalker - both amazing figures). I find all the secondary market prices on ebay absolutely disgusting (it's actually putting me off this hobby). Didn't HT release more product of the first T2 T-800 after it sold out? I think this is acceptable for these collectables if its done in a timely fashion. If my wait list for Hulk wait-list doesn't get converted I'll be upset
I think this release is far superior than the Origins figure (outside of the price point). Origins Wolverine was always to me, just too 'pretty'. Like the Origins release, I think this figure will be very popular in the aftermarket.
Last Stand Wolverine is just too much of a great character figure to deny!!
