after lying dormant a little more than 3 weeks in our so called "capital" my scar finally arrived to my postal office!
now a week more and i'll finally get it.

All good things come to those who wait P.

I know how you feel buddy as I'm still waiting on him too. :impatient:

Has anyone cut the netting at all on the hip joints of scar? I notice in some pics he's in more dynamic poses yet mine can't go that far - the stress on the net is at its max. I'd really like to cut it since you can't see down there but I'm not sure if it'll make the thigh netting sloppy and fall down? Any tips?

thanks!
so was your shipped to you in august, too?
if not - you don't know how angry and helpless against russianpost i feel :D

Nah P. I'm waiting for the UK retailers to get him in stock.

Have a funny comparison.
Three different 1:6 AVP Scar in same pose...haha.

Middle - HT old Scar
Right - Mcfarlane Scar Predator

wow, so you're even in worse waiting.
though my post still can keep it in my city for more than a week without delivering! :D

Yep we (UK based) are always last for getting these figures. Mind you I'm sort of immune to it by now so it is what it is I guess.

Yep the post screw you over here too.

finally!

tried to watch the movie but went sleeping after 15 minutes. will try again another day.

preordered from goodshipped. no quality issues. slight modifications for better movements needed due to modern simplicity of armors.
wondered why "wrist bomb" cannot be detached O_O
the figure itself is even heavier than all previous predators. and it still rests on awfully thin sticks connected to waist ball joints. one day they will all just break.

p.s. netting on legs allows to give him any poses. Pianoteam, could your variant be just stuck somewhere under the belt?

The ball-hugger stand really gets on my nerves with this particular line. :lol As far as the weight of the figure goes, that's my main concern.

I received my new head and feet yesterday (old ones are still available in my FS thread, pics were added last night :D), fixed up the figure, and now he's good as new. The flimsy plastic helmet wires still piss me off, but the overall piece is probably the best-looking Predator HT has done to date. Whatever small inaccuracies he may suffer from, he gives off the 'vibe' of his character much more than any of the others. Put his helmet on, tilt the head a little, and it's like Scar walked off the screen.

Ahhh, those were the days. Still don't understand why McFarlane thought it was cool to sculpt the dreads in mid-flight. I know he said he wanted it to look like the character was right in the middle of doing something dynamic but it just doesn't work. Gets completely lost in translation.

Scar is looking good P. :clap

Congratulations on finally getting him. I know he is coming to me soon but then again so is Christmas. :lol

McFarlane not making a 6" Chopper(Gil was him name back then), was probably my biggest disappointment in collecting 6" figs:lol

And making AVP playsets for series 2 instead.:slap :gah:

yeah, that too. Although the one with Chopper being impaled made a nice desktop display. Best $5 purchase I ever made:lol

I kinda miss that forum, I felt like everybody "was" graduating towards 1/6th towards the end, lol. I remember thinking the original Hot Toys Pred's were just over-expensive dolls when I first saw them.
