Not buying will only tell them that Predator is a waning brand that no one is interested in anymore and they'll drop it.

You would need a combination of mass boycott AND some kind of statement signed by all the boycotters across the internet about why they aren't buying anymore. Neither of these things will happen.

Can you really see Hot Toys delivering on all those updated 1/6 & 1/4 Predator figures anyway, considering Marvel's phase 2 is now underway?

I just don't know. Some of them yeah. One assumes Chopper Predator will be next but then this is HT. He could be revealed next year or 2 years from now. Or maybe they won't bother with him at all, its not beyond them to leave things unfinished.

But yeah the Marvel bandwagon shows no signs of slowing down. I remember when people had to beg for Marvel superheroes. Its gone completely the other way where people are begging for anything non-comic-book related

Predators are the only hot toys figures I collect so if I stop buying them then I basically stopped buying hot toys. Hey if they want my money they're going to have to EARN IT!

Not nice to hear Blade's OC issues with Scar.

I agree with a-dev any sort of boycott will see this line ended but man paying for expensive figure then the QC should be of a high standard.

Even with Marvel being HT cash cow I think the Predator line will continue although probably on the back burner.

The sad thing is this line USED to be one of HT's biggest cash cows. It was Iron Man, Batman, and Predator. Now the latter's fallen by the wayside. Pity that the OG AVP Predator figures were actually superior in some ways. Not many, but some.

you among others protected HT too much when they started lowering the quality.
enjoy the results.

I didn't think they'd lower the quality of materials, genius. That's the only thing that's gotten better. Until now.

For some reason you continue to equate sculpt to EVERY other aspect of figure-making... :slap

No quarrel with the body but has anyone noticed that the upper torso body seems a bit short? The legs are bulky as berserkers but the upper body could have been a bit longer in length though. :dunno

....or maybe the chap doesn't have much of a neck to give a bit of height.

It's the same body they've used before, but with longer thighs (and possibly longer shins, but I'm not sure). From the very beginning that looked like a bad move to me and it still is. Not hugely noticeable depending on how you pose him, but it's a definite issue.

I think HT chose rubber/ plastic tubes for the bio is likely because of rust issues and the fact they are prone to damage. Playability vs detailed. Also it was a cheap move, HT learned a trick or two from Neca. :lecture

I just wish they looked better. Or at the very least, were longer and had actual plugs on the ends. These wires, you just slide them into the holes but they don't really click into place. They just... stay there until you turn the head too much and they fall out. Maybe I should go back to using guitar strings...

I haven't heard of anyone else having these kinds of breakages (and as far as the siderburn dreads go, I've always wondered when that would happen but so far they've been incredibly resilient). Maybe I just got unlucky with this one. Still doesn't change the fact that HT made some pretty crappy technical choices with the production piece.

Do you now miss your old Scar? Nostalgia and all that...

Never had one. :D I did have a Celtic, Chopper, and Elder. This new one looks leagues better but the old figures felt a lot tougher, despite their assembly-based construction and age-loosened joints. As far as nostalgia goes, I don't really miss any of them. Maybe Elder because he was so unique -- and because even if HT decides to remake him, there are so many places they could screw up. :lol

Oh yeah I forgot that you didn't have him. I hope your first Scar brings you many happy memories.:D Talking of the assembly process, Wolf was the only one I had to build and I'm glad he was the only one. Jeez that was stressful, especially trying to get his skirt on.:lol

Agreed. I bought all my AVP Predators loose, thank God. Still didn't make them any less cool. Once some time passes and my wallet recovers from the unnecessary ~$90 I'll have to drop on replacement parts, I think I'll end up enjoying this line. Provided I don't get stuck with another dud. This was a Sideshow exchange if I ever saw one, just wasn't able to take care of that this time around.
