No offense pops I respect everyones opinion, I was just curious. The last time I watched alien i fell asleep. As I said before alien is great sci fi, but as far as a movie I luv to watch, it's much lower on my list then aliens(one of my all-time favorites)

Whilst I love to watch Aliens, Alien is a masterpiece. It's the perfect blend of horror and sci-fi and has one of the most horrifying scenes in cinema (I shouldn't need to say what that scene is).

If you're trying to earn some respect in here kiddo I wouldn't be using the words snoozefest and falling asleep when talking about Alien.

No offense dude but there is nobody on these forums that I need to earn respect from, I am just here cuz I luv this stuff. I could care less if you agree with my opinion or not, but I didn't mean to offend Anyones masterpiece, snoozefest was a bit harsh it is a classic, the falling asleep part was the truth tho

I see Predators is pretty low on everyone's list, and I agree with all of you. I just can't help but remember this interview I saw of Robert Rodriguez hyping Predators, and saying that it was the sequel Predator deserved, and that he did not acknowledge Predator 2 as a real sequel to predator or even as a real Predator movie for that matter. Boy did that turn out to be a lot of hollow trash talk.

AVP-R (Theatres) - Sucked Very Disappointed (But Wolf was Awesome)

Yeah, I think I actually hate the movie more because of RR's bull****. If he hadn't have said before hand that his Preds were bigger and better then the originals he may have got more respect for his film. Saying that if he had followed through on his words and not killed off three Preds in the space of 20 minutes then maybe he would have been on the right track.

What topped it for me was when I was watching Predators on TV with my sister last week (she being an Adrien Brody fan) was mocking me by saying that he had just beat the **** out of that Pred (Berserker).

Good point, that was a poor choice of words, it kind of has a negative effect that I wasn't going for, I just meant that I think pacing wise it's much slower then aliens which is more of a sci fi action flick(which I prefer) definitely didn't mean to offend tho

I thought Alien was a snoozefest when I was thirteen too. Then I grew up and realized just how much of a masterpiece it really is. Most well-made film of the franchise. Both franchises, actually. The designs, the score, the flawless acting, the suspense, etc. The absolute perfect science fiction/horror film.


But Aliens has lots o' action and cheesy dialogue ya know.

I was introduced to the Alien flicks at age nine. Loved 'em all. The only thing that really changed with time was my opinion on Resurrection. Now I realize just how unnecessary it really is.

I grew up thinking Aliens was hands down the best alien movie by far, but when I got a little older and my appreciation for movies matured I realized how much of a science fiction achievement Alien really is.
