I think and I hope...that we will be seeing the Wolf Predator v2 out next.
Hot Toys seems to be remaking all their Aliens/Predator stuff but considering that the Superhero merchandise and attention has increased a hundred-fold, I doubt we'll be seeing much from the Aliens/Predator universe until MAYBE Prometheus 2 hits and even then, we're still waiting on stuff from Prometheus itself.
That being said, Hot Toys I believe has a sentimental value to the Aliens/Predator franchises. Aside from the Superman Returns/Batman Begins figures, it was their Aliens Colonial Marines and AVP Predators that put them on the map in the 1/6-scale collectible world. So I think that is why they have gone back and redone the City Hunter, released some Predator exclusives and are now redoing the Scar. Which, by no doubt, is probably their leading figure when it came to the AVP Predators back in the day. Hot Toys has come along leaps and bounds since then and I'm thrilled to see them re-making the figure since its first release. Also, there's big money $$$ involved in improving upon these characters.
Scar was my FIRST experience with Hot Toys and I'll always remember putting that figure together no matter how much of a pain it was. It was amazing when it was complete and it ignited my collecting into 1/6 scale figures. Granted, since then, I've sold a majority of my past collection but it is great to know that these updated figures of past Hot Toys Classics are coming out.
I think once they also concentrate on the rubber issue, we will see new versions of the Alien franchise figures as well.
Bring on the Wolf next please!
