Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

My superman has been in flight mode since day one, as far as i can see the clamp has left a small indent on each side but because i positioned the clamp right under his lats the indents are not noticeable at all. The detail on the suit is 100% intact as well. But i will advise that i left his right left bent while in the levitating pose and now that ive straightened it out it has left creases just in between his knee and the top of his boot. I was able to smooth most of it out but not completely so just throwing that tidbit out there for good measure

yeah I always leave figures like this in Museum poses. I'm afraid that the suit will cease and the designs will melt when in contact with other parts...

I love this figure just as much as the next guy, but It's hilarious how some are justifying the height of Superman by saying this is a "new scale." :lol

:exactly:

I don't like how this figure will tower over everything I own (minus Vader). My goal was to display him with my Reeve Superman, but since he dwarfs him, I can't. It is as if I will need to separate my HT collection as pre-Man of Steel and post Man of Steel if this is a "new scale". With Wolverine coming soon, it will be a true test of if there is in fact a "new scale" or not. Until then, I still think this one figure is way out of scale.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

As far as I know the Wolverine is using the same body as the previous Wolverine figure (x-men origins), this "new scale" talk is bull s**t. :lol

I hear ya man, I have my Superman in a museum pose now. Not because my figure's suit was showing any damage, none from the clamp at the moment, but over time I'd rather not find out for myself. He looks really good either way so I've decided museum pose for now, and if the dx12 is on his stand there is not height difference when next to each other either so life's good hahah

Disappointing if true and I'm thinking that it is. I have MoS Supes arriving on Friday and will have to display him alone so he doesn't dwarf my other Hot Toys. Poor form.

I'm selling a body, fists, boots, and both command keys if anyone is interested...

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

There are other figures just as big as MOS

Yeah but that's incorrect and not fair on my Predator 2.0 figures and for those who are predator collectors. The new 2.0 Preds including Scar and Celtic should have been at least 15 inch figures. Not fair and not happy about this at all (in regards to height of predator figures from HT).

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Well when I have my funds ready I was hoping to get Superman and display him next to Thor Dark World (with the Mjolnir in Superman's hand just for tease :lol), and if there is going to be a height difference between the two then well.....:dunno

Superman, Thor and Wolverine are second and third priority. My centrepiece are my Predators, I will not let Superman with his height standout and tower over them in comparison. I will severe the degenerative bloodlines that led us to this scale, Heresy!

And every action I take, no matter how violent or how cruel, is for the greater good of my Predators. I have a duty to my Predators and I will not allow anyone to prevent me from carrying it out.

Outstanding pics DA!
Thanks Sean. I think your gonna love this guy even though he is way too tall.

I don't know if it's a bigger scale, but they definitely started making some larger sculpts. Only time will tell where this goes. It could be HT just dropping the ball for the height on MOS, or their plan to make all figures larger going forward.

If anyone is worthy to pick up Thor's hammer... Its definitely Superman! :wink1:

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

The figure is very photogenic and with the proper lighting, it looks awesome in photos!

By the way, I was curious as to how the figure looked underneath the suit.... But I wasn't going to strip my figure to find out..haha.. I found a photo of it on ebay. Note the holes on the chest which I believe is for attaching the S emblem on the suit. Hole for around the front area underneath the navel for what I believe is the round buckle like detail on the suit. And most interesting of all are the veins on the left and right bicep. Talk about detail. Hot Toys spared no expense and did a whole custom figure body specifically for the figure....
