Made this guy from clay and painted him up 6 months ago! He aint fully accurate but tried my best! I see all the faults now and I'm planning to remake him soon!

I wouldn't let a Hot Toys Predator inform you on what you did wrong with your own sculpt :lol (If that's what you're saying)

Neny Dee's look at the Elder Predator:

He looks much better on video than he does in artificially-lit photos, which is really the ideal situation. This guy looks the part. You can tell who it is based on more than just the unmistakable skin pattern (like with City Hunter) and it really goes to show that Alien, Predator, and Terminator figures go under more intense scrutiny than anything else.
No likeness is 100% perfect and considering these are based on sculpted/animated characters rather than actual actors, Tsang did a pretty good job here. It's okay. You can acknowledge at least that. I personally think the nitpicking has gotten to a point where we're so used to bashing HT that we can no longer give them even the slightest credit for their best Predator effort to date -- which this is.

Keep moaning, by all means. But remember that there was once a time when the original P2 Elder was considered a grail. I never really saw it that way and most people couldn't understand why. Funny how things change. Fast-forward a few years and some people won't accept anything less than 100% for a character with minimal screen time and, compared to the other ones, minimal references.

Say what you want about this guy. He has remained my favorite Predator since I purchased him many moons ago. He has been on display since he was released. He may not be accurate, but was the first Predator made by HT that I loved the flow of the dreads. I do have this newer version on pre-order and will see if he dethrones the first.

Thank you, buddy. I lie not, that figure is my favorite of any figure I have ever purchased and I have quite a few figures.
I owned 2 at different times , and I got hard up for money and sold them. so I'm really excited to have another chance with 2.0 elder.

Sorry to hear that.:(

The discussion has been had before of which would be the one piece you would never sell. This guy is the one for me.
Blade, Hellboy, Godfather, etc. Even some of my statues X-men vs. Sentinel would go before this guy.

I know many say he was only in the movie for a short time, but he stole the movie. He just screamed bad mother ****er.

I think the original HT elder release has aspects that are better than the 2.0, especially in the articulation department, but overall the 2.0 is far better IMO. As far as the original elder being devalued on the secondary market, I think it will go down but not as much as previous figures that were re-done. It is a rare piece and really holds up to current figure standards. I can't wait to get the 2.0 but I will gladly by the original if the price goes down preferably <$300.

If I'm lucky enough to find the older version at a good price I'll definitely get one. He's been in my wanted list before and will still be until I get one. I can't wait to get my 2.0 too finally I'll have an elder in my collection.
