I'm curious, is there any moment when steve rovers has a battle damged shield ? I just saw the movie and never saw it get scuffed, at best it got dirty..

Doesn't it get all scuffy after Bucky shoots him with the nade launcher?

He never has the Stealth shield in regular clothes. That's why I don't understand why they have it in the set. In fact I don't think it's battle damaged in the boat mission.

I just received this set yesterday. I don't see what the fuss is all about with the Stealth figure. It looks great in hand. Pictures don't do justice. My only gripes are his arms aren't very poseable, not like the Steve Rogers one. And the shield won't stay on his arm. The shield is heavy and the straps are too big and the forearms are thin. He looks great with the unmasked head holding the helmet. I just put the shield on his back and it hides the "fat" profile that so many complain about. As for Rogers I make him hold the spare shield from the Avengers. I still don't know why they put a Damaged Strike shield in there, he doesn't have in movie.
One problem I had was when I was trying to remove Steve head from the Strike body. The bottom part of the neck came off and stayed on the peg. I had to put crazy glue on the neck and reattach to the figure. Then when it dried I took the head off and the neck came up as one from the peg.

yes but that's his regular shield. Not the damaged Stealth shield they include with the set.

That's not a damaged STRIKE shield, that's just a battle damaged red shield from the teaser poster.

Oh that's right. But even so it was never used in the film. They should have just put in another shield like the one with Golden Age.

Yeah we know. That's probably my biggest complaint with this set along with many many other complaints that people had. It wasn't even in the damn movie

People complain about getting something that was not shown in the film but want to buy the sniper rifle that was never shown in the movie for winter soldier. You can never win. I am happy with the choice of shields we got. Something different. Perhaps the BD shield should have more paint but i do like that it looks extremely worn out. Are those complaining about the shield the same people who did not get or manage to get the GA cap?

come on. I only bought $600 worth, lol. There was plenty left. The site wouldn't let me buy all the Steve heads. Only three.

Watch the movie again. When he's fighting batroc, the blue coating is all scuffed and you can see the red underneath. The only mistake HT made was making the second shield to be a copy of the one from the poster. If they realised what was going on, the second shield would have been the same duck egg blue but scuffed through to the red underneath.

But they don't have the Steve Rogers head. That's what I want.

Found it, I don't know why I didn't see it there before.

I was one that thought that I would not mod the figure that I would leave it be but once I took him out of the box I thought to myself WTF is this lol!!! The arms would not go down like a normal person an he looked so wrong.

Only way to fix that is do the rubber shirt mod.

I think that the rubber band method would still hinder articulation and maybe more since you are compressing the abs even more.

Yeah it's purely for aesthetic purposes only, I sacrifice articulation for museum poses.

I left the crotch section so the pants would not look so baggie on his ass and removing the mid section gave more articulation to the abs and a bit more to the arms.

You can try the rubber band method first and if you decide that's not enough you can cut the mid section or remove the fat suit if you want. But once you take him out of the box I am pretty sure you will want to mod him

Sounds like you did that mod strictly for articulation.

Can anyone post a picture of this on the Reeves body. I looked back but dang this thread is just to big. I have a trade worked out for one.

I use to think the Reeve's body was the way to go but there is a problem. The chest is too high on the Reeves body so the part where the chest is meant to be (just above the abs) is sunken in.

Try Ebay a couple of HK sellers had them last time I looked, not getting either of these so I picked up an empty helmet and the extreme damaged shield for a display.

Really civi Steve should have had the 'dirty' shield from the highway fight but then you could argue he wore a different outfit so he should have a pristine regular shield from the attack on his apartment.

Of course. I totally agree.
But...
If they are going for a "Cap comes with two shields. One from before the fight, one from during/after" and Steve is a separate figure, then you can see that it's really a facet of Strike Cap that the two shields are there.
