Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Just picked this pack up. Curious, would anyone be interested in parting with the Steve figure or splitting the pack with me? I don't really want the Stealth suit too much.
Sounds tempting. I could do without the Steve figure and just have Stealth suit. But I want to pose the Stealth with Evans head and holding his helmet. So the 2 pack is a must for me.

thought of doing that too... but then thought... HULKBUSTER
Yes I am saving my points for Hulkbuster or the 1966 Batmobile. Or after a I get Batmobile I will have a boat load of points. Depends which comes first.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

I ordered the set from Sideshow. AFX's shipping was so high it pretty much took away any discount I was getting.

Where are you? I guess not in the continental U.S.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Whoa that is much cheaper than anywhere else for me. I might have to go with them instead of BBTS. Good service from them everyone?
Yes they automatically double box, answer emails, and phone calls.

Yup. Already got an email back from them. PayPal wasn't all up front just NRD. Might have found my new Hot toys go to other than Sideshow.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Wonder if someone would want to split the 2 pack. I don't want the strike suit, just Rogers.
Shouldn't be hard. Though people like myself might want just the Stealth suit. but want the Evans head with it and helmet.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

The helmet accessory isn't an exclusive to sideshow is it? I don't think it is but I'm wondering why they'd highlight it as a special feature.

Edit: Never mind. I see it's listed as a regular accessory under Steve Rogers.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

I think they highlighted it since they didn't show it among the accessories of the set. Otherwise, they would say Exclusive.

Man I'm stoked on this set. Really do wish they were giving us a third normal shield though. Especially since most FA Cap shields now have issues.

If they don't, I'll use the extra shield that came with Avengers Cap for Rogers.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

I'm curious - what are you guys planning on doing with the extra Cap helmet that makes you want to order the 2 set? For me, I think the two set price is great, but with so many figures I already have preordered, plus with Falcon coming out and AoU, I can't afford to buy that much now even if civilian Steve is only $120 extra. Damn you Hot Toys...

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Was surprised how little we saw the stealth shield in the movie, but it looks great and excited to get this 2-pack.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

If I really want to pose Stealth STRIKE w/ the Rogers head AND a civi-Cap in a display, I would probably buy an extra Rogers head. Otherwise, if I can live without the civi-Cap, I'd just sell the body and clothes and hands whilst keeping the shield, maybe even sell that too and get a 2nd Golden Age metal shield to go with Stealth STRIKE Rogers.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Looking at the Cap costumes in the movies and on the Hot Toys, the FA, Stealth Strike and AoU ones look like they have a natural progression; the Avengers Cap costume looks out of place to me since it's more form fitting. I don't know, I like the Avengers Cap version but just think it looks sorta out of place in a display...am I the only one to think this?

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Well the Stealth suit fits in more with SHIELD. The Avengers suit is more garish and super-hero-ey, like Thor, Iron Man and Loki.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -1/6th scale Captain America & Steve Rogers

I'm thinking about jumping on the two pack. My only disappointment is the shields. I know I could probably pick one of the traditional ones loose but I feel like it should be included in the set as we didn't really see the color variants all that much.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

That chris evans civilian head sculpt is just dope!!

Do you experts out there thinking hot toys will be releasing another figure using that head sculpt?

Given the rave reviews of the movie..i think hot toys will be releasing more figure from CA: WS movie.

what you guys think?

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

Tell u what i think the civilian rogers is awesome. He kicked some serious a$$ wearing those duds.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

I'm most excited to display this Cap with the Shield on his back.

Re: Hot Toys MMS243 -Captain America: The Winter Soldier: 1/6th scale Captain America

What's the bracelet on his right wrist?

In the movie, the Red Skull uses that to control Steve's mind after the big reveal that Johann Schmidt has been brought back.
