Hot Toys MMS243 - 1/6th scale Captain America & Steve Rogers

Hello all,
So my super awesome wife bought me the 2-pack for our anniversary. So happy to finally have these!

I noticed, however, two issues that I wanted to ask you guys about:

1) Cap's helmets (both) are lighter in color than his uniform. But from the pictures I've seen, they are supposed to match.
2) Steve's head looks "dirty". His skin. It's darker and looks...dirty.

Are these problems across the board with these? I was planning to contact Sideshow about it, but wanted to ask you guys first. I'd like to get these issues fixed if possible.

I followed some steps that were given to me in pics from a guy on Facebooks OSR Group The work is very tedious and stressful. Well worth it in the long run though.

Answer: It's normal and all Cap figures are like that in person i.e. In hand pics.

2) Steve's head looks "dirty". His skin. It's darker and looks...dirty.

Answer: This too is normal for the Steve Rogers figure and almost every Hot Toys figure. I guess the painters think we all go out and tan on a regular basis. My wife always make this same comment when she see the head sculpts.

Hope this helps out boardie.

i still think having a metal shield for this figure is a bad idea, i dare not pose him lifting the shield up....

Here's the pics I was talking about.

Once the Stealth suit is off you need to remove the Fat suit off from the bottom.



Once this is done you'll have this.



Then you'll have to cut the saggy breast plate off and peel it off. Be very careful and take your time. Make sure to not put the breast plate up too high Cuz it will scrape against the necks of Cap and Steve Rogers (if you have the double pack)



This is where I went in another direction but didn't take pics. However here is how the other guy made the traps POP up more.




Once all is said & done put suit is place back on. *This is also a huge pain about this mod* The figure should look like so.

Good call. That mod looks pretty tricky, but the payoff seems good if you can manage. Getting the suit off is where I'm probably eliminated lol


Im excited now tho, my tracking number finally updated my order and it's coming today instead of the expected Monday estimate! This was the first hot toy I ever ordered (back in June) and, 6 figures later, I'm finally getting my favourite hero! Hope I can get him looking sharp for some pics once I have him

Idk about going to the extremes of that mod, but I will happily cut the fat suit out and put cotton balls on his pecs.

Just bought this guy off an eBay seller for $195 shipped. Love the suit and plan to mod it a bit for articulation. Not going with the Bob mod that's for sure

I saw that one too Edub. I messaged the guy that did this mod. He said its stuck in this Museum pose in the pic you posted. Look great though.
