It's funny to me that I'm actually considering passing on this ancient 2.0, because I seriously almost paid close to $1000 for one 2 years back. I had the money and was right about to pull the trigger, but I just couldn't do it, and glad for it now.

Smart move not paying that amount for that Predator back then.

I have 3 predators right now, Samurai, Predator 2 v2.0 and Lost Predator (just sold it to a friend),so they are really 2. I dont plan to have more than 4.

So I think they will be P2, Samurai, Elder Predator and a fourth one that could be the Original Classic from the Predator movie V2.0 (not the actual version from Predators) or the Wolf, but since Classic and Elder are very similar in their armour, I might go for Wolf.

yeah sounds good, I have City Hunter 2.0 and Classic and Shadow, I'll be getting Celtic and Scar next week but I dont have the Samurai, so I'm really jealous of you right now

Samurai was a big debate for me...I believe, a year or so ago? Damn, it may be two years now. Time flies. Anyway, it was back when most HTs were just over $200, and here was this one for $350. I pulled the trigger and am so glad I did. It's one of my favourite pieces...even with that whole brown xenomorph head fiasco. He's my only Predator HT at the moment, and I'm LIKELY going to draw the line at one more when a Wolf 2.0 comes out. Ancient and Elder both look fantastic, but I have to think smarter with my orders these days! I think a Samurai and Wolf Predator combo will look fantastic and do the job just fine

That doesn't mean that I don't wish I could buy just about everything that's announced, of course

I ordered this from my LCS, my rationale is simple, I always wanted the AVP Ancient Pred, but the secondary market prices were crazy. I have V2 Celtic and Scar with V2 Elder on PO, I love the new bodies. The price is $10 more and the V2 BR Joker, not that that is a win, but I used that to justify purchasing this, lol.

Funny thing: That second bio mask appears to be the same as that of the Elder Predator from AVP. I'm not overly versed in the lore, but it almost suggests to me that you can display this as a sort of younger version of that character from the movie. Or, maybe, just maybe, my imagination just ran away with me again...

Nope, you're right. The elder's bio mask is the same general design, just with a different color and the center mouth piece missing.

I think it's implied that he's one of the successful predators in the flashback.

I will say, loving the rust weathering on the helmets. Really top-notch work. Just overpriced and not a character I'm particularly interested in. Bring on Chopper and I'm happy.

And cheesus, that Alien head looks damn near perfect. Tsang needs to give the Xenos another try. The man's learned a lot since his last attempts.

they think every single pred has black eyes I guess . I painted my Celtics silver though as I couldn't have that.
I think I did pretty good.

I really wish they'd release an updated line of Alien figures. I try not to get my hopes up every SDCC but there's always a little part of me with crossed fingers.

I want some new Aliens as well. Missed out on the original ones and a good Xenomorph is my most wanted figure now.

As much as I like the idea of having a xenomorph im afraid of HT using any rubber at this point.

Am I the only one who thinks that the new alien figures are really close to being announced? Like the sculpt for the head looks brand new, so I dont see why they couldn't just use the head and make the bodies plastic. But who knows

I don't see the need for a rubber body either. Sure, it would help hide some articulation but plastic should be okay, especially if the have a darker paint job.

C'mon guys this is HT! They don't need a reason for a figure to have rubber on it, they just do it anyway.
Honestly I think the head is just a recast from the one used for the base.
