While the HT Bespin hilt has nice smooth paint, sharp sculpting and is well built with quality plastics, If they make a new saber, hopefully they'll include some additional detail on it and also make it the correct size with correct proportions.

Agreed. Same reason I'm fine with the 1/4 Vader being the ROTS version.

Did obi-wan take the saber at the end of ROTS? Was it sill attached to one of Anakin's limbs? I think either way you can't go wrong with making the saber look how it appeared in the film since they're all slightly different. Even at 3 3/4" scale they match the hilts correctly.

I have yet to see a mass-produced OT saber that is truly 1:6th scale. Granted, a 1/4" dia. tube looks huge in their hands but it WOULD be accurate.

Technically its Anakin's Revenge of the Sith saber -- since Ben says "its your father's lightsaber". And in ESB it's technically Luke's ANH saber.

It's all messed man.

That always strikes me as funny now. That warm nostalgic moment where old Obi-Wan hands his fathers blade to his unknowing son. The epic emotion and drama that Lucas managed to capture in a scene so simple was just amazing. A generational hand over of epic proportions.. "he wanted you to have this when you were old enough". What a beautiful coming of age, father and son piece of storytelling.

However... what Obi-Wan didn't mention... is that he basically stole Anakin's sword, while his ex-friend lay dying on the ground, almost burnt to death, after he chopped his arms and legs off.

Obi: "Luke, I want you to have this.."
Luke "What is it?"
Obi: "Your father's Light-Sabre"
Luke: "Where did you get it?"
Obi: "erm.. I stole..I mean picked it up out of the gravel, ..that was just after I chopped your fathers limbs off and left him burning to death, he wouldn't have been able to use it again anyway".
Luke: "aaaallriiight!"
Obi: "you must come with me and become a Jedi like your father..."
Luke: "Let me think about that one.."

Of course, that was true before, but now we realise it more because of the "intense" prequels between Obi and Anakin.

And Luke remains the true hero of the Classic Trilogy and 6 movie saga, since he ends up using Yoda and Obi, to his means, and succeeds where Anakin failed.

Technically Anakin never failed, he did fulfill the prophecy. He did it in more ways than one. He had to betray the Jedi, join the darkside, have kids, let them grow, join the rebellion to combat the empire and Sith. Then Anakin killed the emperor(ultimate Sith), then killed himself(Sith apprentice). While his kids restore balance to the Galaxy. Again all because of Anakin.

So...Anakin did end up fulfilling the prophecy, just many years Later and from a certain point of view.
