Got this guy in today, its my first Cap figure ever. Gotta say its another excellent offering from Hot Toys. Glad to finally have him in my collection!

My shield from SS and the straps are good but theirs a few color differences, the shield that came with my Cap is a brighter shade of red and the star is really reflective, the one they sent me is a deep dark red and the star is not reflective at all, looks dull in comparison.

I like both, haha... and after explaining to them it was diecast then they didn't charge me for not destroying the broken shield.

I'm just going to solder those straps securely onto the shield.

I don't really follow what you're saying, but it sounds like you're saying that the red stripes on the shield that came with your CW Cap are a deep, dark red? That's how it's supposed to be because the stripes on the shield in CW were a deep red.

The shield that came packaged with Cap has brighter red stripes... the replacement shield SS sent me has darker stripes.

Does anyone have a fix for the back flap? Maybe fabric glue? The flap leaves an unsighlty gap with the rest of the suit, especially on the shoulders.

After seeing some user pics on Facebook, I finally found the perfect pose for my Cap! :D Nothing special, really, but I'm so happy with him! He even looks great from the side which is the angle I mostly see him from. :yess:

Can't wait for Deadpool to finally arrive and bring some flashy colour to this shelf!

Thanks. :3 I'm still not too creative when it comes to posing my Hot Toys. XD I've only ever collected static figures so being able to pose them now is still kinda too much for me and I end up with museum poses a lot. :lol But I'm trying. haha I'm actually most proud of WS but then again he looks bad *** in most poses. ^^''

Testing out my new Camera with Cap here:

Lovely shots Brainiac! Which camera did you get? My canon is kinda ... well ... leaving me hanging. Somehow the quality of the photos gets worse and worse, so much so that I just wanna throw it in the bin now. :gah:

With posing, its definitely difficult with some figures, to get them to look 'awesome' or just natural can be tough, a good way of getting better is trying to replicate poses you like from other peoples photos or collections

Thank you :hi5: :) I got a Nikon D3300, which I chose over the Canon 1300D. It's pretty good, I only have it a day and I'm a total beginner

That sounds really bad :( I'm no expert on cameras but lighting is so important, and keeping the lenses and mirrors clean, I would bring it to a shop or something to be looked at, that sucks though, sorry. I would also say that you can achieve decent results with a good phone camera too :)

So is this figure pretty decent considering he doesn't have the magnet shield like the AoU one did? Thinking about getting him for Christmas.
