Mine arrived last week (my first Cap figure ) - it does look great but seriously stressful getting the shield on his arm. I thought folks might have been exaggerating slightly, unfortunately not!

This was a pain for me too, the shield clips don't hold together strongly and the hands are a ***ch to get swap out :gah:

Nope, it took some work to get my Cap's shield on. But then, thanx to other posts knew to go slow etc. It's not so bad spending time w. a figure as amazing as this one - stellar job w. the eyes/face, diecast shield, costume. Just wish Bucky and Falcon were here to go with him:monkey3, but for now actually looks pretty good w. original WS.:love

Hopefully soon

My Cap is finally in-stock and should be with me tomorrow! *__* Can't wait to get him!!

:clap:clap:clap Yeah, took me a bit of time to pay off the PO. Then I'm holding my breath opening him up re any "disappointing flaw" - nope. Perfect Cap. Just such a great fig.:love

And after the LONG wait I am expecting the same greatness from CW Bucky and Falcon.:impatient:

Mine came in and it's as beautiful as I hoped but that shield is just a pain and a half. After an hour of gentle wrestling with the strap, I decided to leave it off and just say this Cap represents that moment at the beginning of CW after Crossbones separates him from his shield. Or maybe the bit near the end. Overall though he's gorgeous. The articulation is surprisingly nimble for something so detailed.

First I just had a lot of trouble getting his grip hand onto the one strap, but even once I fed the arm through the other one I just couldn't get the peg on his hand to go in and stay in. I was starting to think I'd knock his shoulder out.

Same problem. Let hot water run into hand hole until good and warm. Dry w. Q-tip. Force hand on and check. Gently unclip shield straps and reclipped to arm, checking position with picture. Twist other strap into hand and reclip to shield.

Fiddly job but needle nose pliers, tweezers help. Probably other ways but worked for me. After I stubbornly tried without warming the hand up LOL

Gods, I hate attaching the shield. XD Getting the hand to hold the strap was easy but I also couldn’t get the hand onto the peg. Once I did and tried to get a good pose, it just fell off. :gah: Got everything to work in the end but it sure is frustrating.

Other than that, love him. *__* Gotta take a few pics of him today.

I've never put my shield on too stressful

Yeah, don't know if switching hand pegs would help. Thought the problem for me was not getting hand on all the way, but now it's on LOL will probably never take shield off. Congrats on Cap:clap! Love mine, and just didn't seem right to have WS/Bucky and no CA.

I'd still like the Stealth Cap, even if apparently he needs some tweaks. But gotta wait until that ship comes w. Bucky and Falcon and all the other POs folks have been waiting on. For a year.:cuckoo:

Times like these I am happy I have the Age of Ultron version. The shield can attach to the arm and to the back no problem. Can switch it back and forth on the fly.

I had the same issue but as folks have mentioned earlier in the thread, taking the peg out of the wrist and inserting it into the hand first makes a huge difference, definitely helped me get the hand stay attached.

Cap is really nice and I'm glad I got him. :) He's my first real Cap after all! So far I only had civvie Stevie and Rescue Cap so I'm glad to finally have the CW one on my shelf. :D I'm also eyeing Stealth Cap but since he needs lots of work, I'm waiting for a good deal. :3

Oh, I totally didn't read that! Sounds like it would make things easier. :lol Should have paid attention.

Unfortunate to hear everyone's latest shield woes. This was the most difficult Cap shield to apply for me out of any of the Cap figures, but it still took me roughly 5 minutes to do. I just put the strap in his grasping hand first, slid the other strap over the forearm and then attached the hand to the arm. The most difficult part to me was the peg disappearing into the sleeve of the suit, so you had to pull the sleeve up as far as possible to try and expose the peg as much as possible.
