My Wait list converted too!

I can't describe how much I needed this figure, so really pleased I don't have to go the eBay route and pay double or worse for her.

Well, my waitlist order just converted as well, and I am really happy about it. I'm not sure how I missed this when it first came available for pre-order- she was always a must buy for me. I passed on the first version hoping they would do this version, and I like this version better than the CW costume; so missing it would have been very disappointing.

Still the quick sell out, and equally quick multiple waitlist conversions, could almost be suspicious. Perhaps Wanda isn't the only one who has found ways to alter probabilities

Hehe I don't think it's suspicious.

I feel we need to look at it this piece as a bonus piece for the fans of the character.

This costume was on screen for a second or two, so it would have been ludicrous to have this as the primary piece. That's the reason (IMHO) they did it as a limited run, because they probably didn't know how it would go down with fans.

I too hoped they would make it, but if they didn't it wouldn't surprise me because she's not a money cow like for example Iron man, where HT know they can pull in another armour from the house party protocol and shift many units without any real issue.

This was sort of a tester (IMHO).

The fact it sold out so fast and there was no confirmed run number just indicates sideshow probably increased there Purchase order to reflect the added numbers, and better then expected sales for a costume which was barely shown.


I'm really (REALLY) happy they decided to make this one. I don't understand the angst or negative feed back she's been getting, or the fact some have moaned about it being a recycle or a clone. HOW?

The whole point of this piece is to allow fans of the character a chance to own the for want of a better name, Mark 1 Avengers Costume.

For ME This is a really nice little precursor / appetiser before the proper costume we'll see in a few weeks time.

Lack of extras: What exactly is she supposed to come with?
- This is probably the biggest l-o-l for me.

So a character on screen for what 2/3 seconds? - should come with an array of 'extra's.....

Clone: Given that this is based a short period after as the primary AoU SW, OF COURSE she has the same sculpt...


Final thoughts:

Hot Toys did a wonderful job on this one, and while we are only looking at the prototype I do feel this has a place and will be welcomed into collectors collections with open arms, especially by those like myself whom really love the character.

I converted last night around the same time as everyone else, I was just too busy to post about it. I figured I'd come in here today we'd see the civil war announcement and that was the reason for it but nope. I think people really did cancel because of seeing the new Wanda figure on those two event announcement photos and enough of them did it that all of us who waitlisted this weekend can now get one. Soon as I got the email, I promptly put my 22.50 in my account I'm gonna call sideshow today or tomorrow and try to see if they can change me to a flexpay on her too.

...NEVER KNOW BY RUN OF BAD LUCK!!!LOL Hey I would be gutted to miss out but I can assume that there is Civil War version, sadly I prefer the New Avengers version. Just decided to pre order War machine and Black Panther from Sideshow.

Ordering from sideshow has always been an issue for me since I'm North of the border, but I decided to try one of those package-holding facilities in Buffalo, NY and got on the waitlist for this. Holy ****, huge price difference. If all goes well and I'm converted from waitlist, I may just do this in the future for all my Hot Toys. Do the 2-hour drive to Buffalo twice a year, pick my Hot Toys up in batches, save about $80 per figure, AND get reward points.
