I always thought my BVS legs were to short. To me it looked like two different figures stuck together and I couldn't live with it so I sold him. Not sure if it had something with the crotch area of the suit never staying put.

I loved the way BvS hugged his legs. The SS looks like he has a drooping crotch. It's really bugging me. Anyone have ideas on a fix?

Got mine in today alot of difference between the bvs one. I like it the suit is darker but not that it matters now I'm only keeping one.

The BVS version has the same problem. And I'm pretty sure that's the same case with this Suicide Squad Version. It's the crotch mod. You can look it up in the BVS Batman thread.

No, some people think the sideshow batch is darker than the first batch of SS that was released in HK.

I personally dont think it is. Going back and watching some of the earlier reviews, most have some have some really bright lighting on their reviews. high intense lighting, coupled with huge sentiments of being a light lighter than BvS, I think it gave the impression to most people that the contrast is significant.

The suit is supposed to be gray.
Hot toys BvS is charcoal gray, Hot toys SS is "lighter" charcoal gray.

If you have a BvS figure though, you can appeciate it a little more, cause I've always wished it was at least just a little lighter, which now it is, and to me, I see more contrast between the suit and the bat symbol.

I just opened mine from Sideshow. The SS suit itself appears to be darker than the BvS suit, but it does have a silver dry-brush effect which gives it a lighter sheen in certain light. The "cuts" on the emblem are glossy on the SS suit, and the belt appears to be a shinier golden color. The outline around the emblem is less defined on the SS version (more matte than the glossy BvS one). My SS Batman does not appear to be any BIGGER than the BvS version, and it looks almost identical in size to me. The gap between the cowl and the emblem are about the same. Biggest difference on first inspection is the cape (of course). And, I wish Sideshow would automatically double-box their exclusives; the brown shipper just doesn't lend itself to a pristine box upon delivery.

I rotated the thighs on mine inwards (not the full legs) and it looks a liiiittle better.

Is it me or are the legs short?
I went ahead and ordered longer ankle extension.
Eventhough people were doing that mod on BvS, I never really had the urge to do the mod cause I thought the body propotionately looked ok.
Though the longer ankle pegs may be a bit better, I didnt think it was significant enough to do the mod.

Currently have two BvS figures right now, and looking at them, they both look proportionately ok to me. But the SS looks like his legs are short its really bothering me.
Maybe since the body is bulkier, its not looking proportionate. Hope I get the longer pegs soon.

BvS version has short legs too. He looks perfect with ankle extension.

I guess since BvS is a little leaner compared to SS, it looked a little more proportionate.
Its definitely more evident on SS to me.

@Remy, @RED SHOES Thanks for the info! Remy, did you get your SS Bats from Sideshow or directly from Hong Kong? I agree that it seems strange for there to be differences between the batches. I understand updating figures for quality control, but I don't see how that could be the case here, especially since the timeframe between HK and international releases seemed normal.

I got mine from sideshow and it's on the way. Will arrive Monday I'm hoping I'm lucky and the suit is lighter, I repainted my bvs with a lighter grey and then it began to peel which is the worst thing to happen especially if you paid an ebay price for it. But once I get it I will definitely post images. Only thing is I will change the cape for a custom. Mainly cause I like batman in a standing pose with the cape draped.

Yes, I got mine directly from Sideshow. I am surprised at some of the discrepancies I'm reading. Like some saying the bulkiness is almost the same.
Mine is a noticeable difference. Not subtle at all.

Although not really a fan of pics with flash (sorry Creasy), this comparison pic by Creasy though, does illustrate better the difference in size between the figures. You can clearly see the SS is bigger than the BvS. Its not subtle at all.
This is how it looks in hand with mine...My SS is clearly bigger than my BvS.

Now on my comparison pic, as I mentioned when I first posted it, the difference in size did not translate well on my picture. But in hand, it looks much like Creasy's pic above...my SS version in hand is clearly bulkier than my BvS. its not that subtle.
And when you put them side by side, you can see that he is also lighter than BvS. Yes, he's still kinda dark...they're both like charcoal gray color, but SS is lighter charcoal gray.

...so I use some Chinese ankle extenders and guess what! They work perfectly!

His looks proportionate. Looks perfect to me.

I took a picture of Sideshow Exclussive SS Batman. White balance is set with a gray card for color accuracy.

Not saying it is untrue, but I haven't seen a good pic showing a stock bvs is lighter in color than a stock ss so far.

Not exactly the same, the ones you want to use will give your bats a 10mm lift.
I have the same ones, but they don't work well. ankle becomes a little too loose.


The ones predarnold used are these, a 5mm lift.
I have my doubt, but wait till I try them in a few days.
