Not saying it is untrue, but I haven't seen a good pic showing a stock bvs is lighter in color than a stock ss so far.
Wonder how they can differ so much.





Not exactly the same, the ones you want to use will give your bats a 10mm lift.
I have the same ones, but they don't work well. ankle becomes a little too loose.


The ones predarnold used are these, a 5mm lift.
I have my doubt, but wait till I try them in a few days.

Ordered them from Taobao China. They are authentic off from the EASY&SIMPLE ES26018 action figures.
Only 3 sets were left at that time, my friend bought them all for me. Still waiting for them to arrive.....


The third party also makes the same ones, but only as a whole set.

A 10mm lift may require some extra padding on the calves as the shaft portion of the boots also becomes a little too loose.
Personally, I prefer a 5mm lift which is more subtle and the shaft won't become too loose.


However, a 10mm lift will make your bvs/ss bats more in scale with your mos superman for sure.
My bvs/ss bats and bvs supes are lifted by 5mm using mos's and armory bats's replacement pegs instead of connector type pegs.

Yes, I got mine directly from Sideshow. I am surprised at some of the discrepancies I'm reading. Like some saying the bulkiness is almost the same.
Mine is a noticeable difference. Not subtle at all.

Although not really a fan of pics with flash (sorry Creasy), this comparison pic by Creasy though, does illustrate better the difference in size between the figures. You can clearly see the SS is bigger than the BvS. Its not subtle at all.
This is how it looks in hand with mine...My SS is clearly bigger than my BvS.

Now on my comparison pic, as I mentioned when I first posted it, the difference in size did not translate well on my picture. But in hand, it looks much like Creasy's pic above...my SS version in hand is clearly bulkier than my BvS. its not that subtle.
And when you put them side by side, you can see that he is also lighter than BvS. Yes, he's still kinda dark...they're both like charcoal gray color, but SS is lighter charcoal gray.

Hey no problem Remy, I just took the photo with flash so the differences were more apparent.
My other suicide squad version I got from sideshow definitely has more of the golden brown hue, and somewhat shinier.
I don't know if they applied more of a lacquer or something to get the gold hue & its darken it up slightly buts it's still a lot lighter & a lot beefier than the bvs version.
I think it must be just a part of the made by hand process.
I'd only be bummed if I got one that wasn't more muscular than the bvs version.
Though saying that I love that the 1st one I got is much lighter as well

That's the 2 suicide squad versions I have, no flash and the sideshow version is still in the box

The SS body looks more like the modded BVS body with a 2mm eva pad inside his suit.
Also, the back zipper of the SS ends above his butt while that of the BVS ends in the middle of his butt.

I am very interested in seeing some photos that can clearly show us that SS is darker than BVS with exact the same muscular body suit as BVS.
Wonder if HT's QC is really that bad....

You can probably wait and see if a company recasts the breather piece and the cuffs probably get it off ebay

Great comparison. One thing I thought the BvS was lacking was his trap muscles. Didn't even know they added it in SS.

You did do it right, and that you post regular pics, and you make a reference when you do use flash.
My disdain towards flash pics is usually...other people who dont realize that flash washes out colors and it doesnt give a true visual appeal of the figure, and...I dont know why, they're usually one of the first people to get the figure, and they take all the pics using flash, and it sends the threads into a frenzy. lol.

But there are times when using flash is handy, like in your pics where it does give you a more accurate representation, such as size, which is hard to show in 2d pictures compared to seeing it in hand. That's why sideshow usually puts an apple in front of figures to show you how big a figure is.
I certainly appreciate your comparison pics cause I was undecided on deciding which one to keep.

One of the things I noticed though about the difference between the first batch and 2nd batch is the gold tint is toned down.
Its hardly present on mine, and I actually wished mine would have a lot of it and would pop. The gold tint supposed to represent the dirt and grime on the suit. So kinda disappointed its hardly present on mine.
