Saw the movie again tonight in 3D (which was difficult cause of my glasses) and this guy sure is tempting, but those pants do not go with his outfit (the colors at least) and it's bothering me more than it should :gah:

Finally budgeted enough to order him from sideshow today :) Very excited. Can't wait till Gamora goes up for preorder too.

Saw the movie and it was horrible, cancelled my preorder but I would still buy a Yondu if they made one.

Is this sculpt better? Since you have the original in hand, I'd definitely like to hear your opinion. This sculpt looks better painted perhaps but seems a bit blank to me in personality.

I have neither, and I'm trying to choose which Star-Lord to get -- short jacket OR rocket boots...? First world problems.

I love the original jacket's raggedy weathering -- singed from the rocket boots.

I hear you one the coat and boots Wor-Gar !!

They are exactly why I thought, I'm going to find a Vol 1 StarLord. Well after a couple of weeks of offers over $400 (one with a broken arm joint went for over $300 !!!!) I thought well the jacket is really nice, and the boots are cool, but they're not $400 cool . So I thought if I don't order this guy I could end up missing out on both ! Or paying way over retail later.

Reading through this thread seems most have sold that are going to sell, or the majority will probably keep the Vol 1 Star Lord.

I figure by pre-ordering I am at least safe and could use those Reward points on something (sorry SS Snowspeeder Luke).

I don't understand how someone could think the movie was "horrible", but that's just me.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. There are those who think the Godfather, a literal masterpiece in cinema, is a waste of time.

Like my old high school English teacher used to say, "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that still doesn't mean their opinion isn't just wrong."

Truthfully I was really disappointed with the film on the first viewing, and I loved the first film. I gave it a second chance and went to see it again. Changed my opinion on second viewing and enjoyed it. Always need a second viewing to be sure.

The opposite happened for me with Rogue One, which got progressively worse with each of my 4 viewings. Don't like that film at all now, easily the worst Star Wars film by a country mile. It's a mess, and a miserable mess at that.

I liked both GotG 2 and Rogue One more each time i've watched them. I seen GotG 2 4 times and probably will see it at least a couple more times before it leaves the theater. Since RO came out on video i have probably watched it at least 10 times but only once at the movies. It does have issues but all of these films do. It's in my top 3 favorite SW movies right now. We all like different things so I can understand why someone might not enjoy it.

Absolutely man, I know plenty of people who love Rogue One too - each to their own! I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan, so anything that furthers it's success is not a bad thing by me.

The figure I really want from GOTG are Star Lord and Yondu. Must admit that I'm really not sold on the Chris Pratt likeness, but it's still a probable purchase for me as I like to have my hot toys set up in pairs......a star lord/yondu display for me would be perfect.

Geez tough crowd. I think Rogue One is an awesome movie and is one of the best in the Star Wars franchise. Also really enjoyed Guardians 2.

I have V1 StarLord and I will be keeping that and also getting V2. Both look like great figures and you can have 2 different looks.

I hated it on my first viewing and tried to watch it again at home and shut it off. Its pretty unbearable for me. I will happily watch the prequels any time over it.

GotG2, I enjoyed it. Not as much as the first one but still really liked it.

I have the feeling that 10 years from now, people will judge rogue one quite differently. Paper thin (almost all unlikeable) characters, humour that falls flat (k2so), a mess of a first hour that exposes the amount of rewrites and re-shoots that took place (bor-gullet.....what was the point of that?), impressive but artificial cgi, and a general level of sustained misery throughout that is completely uncharacteristic of a star wars movie (it's meant for kids folks). The generally positive reception that it received really surprised me. Any of the prequels, though admittedly flawed, show more imagination and invention than anything rogue one achieved. It's best scene is the Vader corridor, and that was a last minute add in.

It's not for me clearly. I want a little more fun, character and imagination in a star wars movie.
