So just curious, are there any new cases of neck staining? #staingate

I managed to open mine today. Got a little red stain on the right side of his neck from the short jacket. I'm planning to use a common eraser to rub it off if have the time, otherwise I'll just let it be.
I've ever accidentally dropped hot toys bane figure onto hot toys hulk figure while arranging my toys. Bane's head ended up getting green stain from hulk's foot. I used an eraser (common soft type) to remove it. Fortunately the green stain was removed without compromising the paint. Successful stain removal for my case.

I got mine. Yes, the little red strain was there. Yet it's avoidable. I love it. Waiting for my Spiderman and my favorite avengers team will become assembled.

Caved and ordered the deluxe yesterday when I saw a decent deal. Would have liked to pay around $200 shipped but didn’t think that was too likely given how well he came out.

I'm kinda wanting a Star-Lord figure now myself. I'm just not sure which one I like better. Obviously all the different looks and accessories the new deluxe comes with are great.... but the problem is it reminds me too much of the second movie which I didn't care for nearly as much. And while the likeness on the first figure may not be as strong, the expression feels so much more "Star-Lordy" to me with that smirk. Unfortunately, other than the cool coat, that figure doesn't come with a whole lot.

Depends what is most important to you. The long jacket is far superior on part 1 in terms of weathering and detail. Part 1 costume is also a cooler look overall imo and looks great with the helmeted head.

But if you want a more realistic Pratt sculpt and endless display options you can't go wrong with part 2. If you put a gun to my head I would keep part 1, I love that long coat!

Took me quite a while to put on the long coat, but was worth it. Excuse the photo quality, can't compete with other guys here with their excellent pictures. :clap

Well guys, miracles DO happen. Got my replacement from BBTS and he came with absolutely ZERO staining! I immediately cut some of the plastic left over after taking him out of the box and shoved it down between his neck and collar to make sure it’s protected. Now I just get to wait and see if the material on the coat will last even the next couple of years. I’ve already noticed the collar area on my Deadpool figure starting to deteriorate and I’ve barely touched him since I got him on release :/

I’m curious to see if tohave has any luck removing the staining with a normal eraser. I certainly had no luck using a magic eraser on my first figure, and it started taking off the actual paint around the stain instead.

Got mine in today and it has a tiny little mark on one side. Not worth doing anything about, though it is obviously a little frustrating having to consider this in how you pose the figure, given how many options there are. I really like the activating helmet but it's kind of funny how large it is when it's on his head compared to the helmeted head sculpt.
