Just got mine as well (along with the extra berettas from TA) and it looks fantastic. I was kinda worried about the coat and how tight it was looking around the shoulders, but with a bit of futzing it's not an issue.

It does become a lot trickier though once you put the guns in the shoulder holsters, but once I pushed them back a ways I could get the coat to lay pretty flat again.

Really looking forward to posing him up later. :)

Good to know about the coat.

I was surprised how tall the figure is. He's a half-head taller than most of my figures. I'm sure its the depth of the 'real' boots that is giving Neo the extra height -- putting him closer to 6'6" than 6'1".

I'm definitely going to have to get him down a little. Maybe swap for shorter shins.

I opened my Neo yesterday, Great figure!
I could see what people were saying about the sculpt in pictures, but it looks much better in person, I don't have issues with the likeness.
Costume looks great, I haven't pulled out the old HT MP5Ks but these look like the same oversized sculpt they've used since the first "Neo" they released in 2000. the rest of the guns look good.

That packaging however gave me frustrations. The tape used on the MP5K strap was a pain to cut, too tight and could've been handled better, the plastic around the neck is appreciated, but I popped the head off to remove it and had to struggle with trying to get the T-shirt opening back up on the neck. The worst issue is the instructions give you nothing on how to position the guns on him.
I'm going to dive deeper into this thread to see how others dealt with it.

Still an awesome figure, From my first full Hot Toys figure to now, it's been one big circle.

Arg! You're right. It's going to make the coat drag on the ground. Hmmmm....

Well, if HT ever makes Morpheus or Smith, this Neo will tower over both.

Might be a reason to seek out the Redman coat after all, if it's a more accurate length. I know someone posted a pic of it on the figure earlier, but don't remember if it looked any shorter.

I like to have all my figures correct height relative to each other but I'm not a stickler. I have giant Venkman after all. As long as they are accurate to each other within the film that is lined up on the shelf together, that's OK. I can live with Slenderman Neo.

Once I get him into his slouched posture perhaps he won't seem quite as tall.

I spent some serious time researching various actor’s heights, and Neo seems fine compared to both customs and off the shelf. Keanu Reeves is 6’1”.

I have my Hot Toys Neo figure standing upright with his feet fairly wide (like the DVD cover) and he is about 1/3 a head taller than QMx’s Picard (who is 5’10), half a head taller than JNIX’s Trinity (who is 5’9”), slightly taller than Kato’s Morpheus (who is 6’0 but has dress shoes not boots), and the same height as QMx Spock (who is also 6’0, but has boots)

I’d say maybe your other figures are a bit short, which was common for many customs i’ve bought, especially older ones.

I just measured mine and he's at 12 1/4", which does make him on the taller side but still in line with my Arnold figures and Venkman, and still shorter than BVS Supes. So I don't think he'll stand out too much on the shelf.

Doesn't take much research to find Reeves height. And you're lucky he measures up well to your other 4 figures. I'm sure I can find a figure or two he's fine with too in my collection, but that doesn't make HT Neo's height correct though (see formula below) -- unless yours is actually exactly 12 inches tall (maybe a hair's breath taller for that 1/6 inch).

I built an Indy with a precise height of 6'2" translated down to 1/6th which has become my sort of rough "measuring stick" for all figures heights, and Indy's eyes come to about Neo's nose. Neo certainly shouldn't be taller than Indiana Jones, especially with a fedora on. Yet he is.

in line with ....Venkman

Exactly, and Venkman is a ridiculous giant on that body compared to most HT figures.

Now here's the rub: I also measured my Neo -- mine is just about 12.5 inches tall. Which would make Neo 6'3" - Trump height. :horror

Not sure why mine's taller. I have him standing straight up, no bent knees or slouched shoulders. Perhaps I need to push him further down into the boots. I could see maybe losing a 1/4 inch by "compressing" him some. Perhaps he'll seem better once I do that and maybe cheat a little bending knees and giving him that slouch I was talking about.

That all said, I don't mind height variances too much and don't really notice it, but on this figure I did right away.

Harrison Ford & Reeves are both 6’1”

Neo wears boots with some serious lift. Easily one inch or more.

Eyes and nose are about one or two inches apart.

Seems pretty accurate to me that Neo would be a tad taller as you described.

Does not look accurate to me on the shelf is the problem.

I know people's shelves are different, but overall it is clear that Neo is on the taller side relative to all the other HT figures I have on the shelf. Perhaps the truth is that most other figures are underscaled.

I have the same problem with Venkman -- and before you say Murray is 6'2" -- the figure itself stills looks disproportionately tall against so many other figures on the shelf.

On the plus side, Neo and Venkman look good together though.

Well my Venkman is only 12.25 as well, since I had to switch him to another body when the BW one broke. So that probably wasn't the best thing to compare it too. And he's got such a large head I wouldn't want to make him any shorter anyway.

Strange though that your Neo is 1/4" taller than mine.

Yeah, I think likely the boots are not seated properly on mine -- although I did bend the ankles so it would seem they are plugged into the sockets. Not sure I bent the knees, maybe they are pulled out a tad? 1/4 inch off is fairly noticeable in 1/6th even when it seems so small. It might be why the height jumped out at me today.

I'll have a look at him tomorrow and see what's the issue.

In any event, I'm certain I can get this figure in a pose that I like and at a height that will work for me on my shelf. Now the dust-magnet duster, well that's another matter... :)

sorry guys, but non of your Hot Toys Neo is height accurate.

Keanu is 6"1 and that is with Shoes on. Just like how most sports athletics & celebrities measure their official height.

So obviously all your Hot Toys Neo are too tall. just trim the lower legs to make them accurate.

this figure ****ing rocks:rock

Opened him up this morning. Really nice looking Neo. Weapons and gear are excellent. I like the sculpt too.

The only thing that will drive me crazy is that lint-magnet overcoat. Man, I've never seen anything like it. Literally I've seen cat hair leap from the floor and cling to the coat. It's a great coat... but if this thing ends up gray with dust I think I'll be posing Neo without it.

I wonder if water treating it will excise whatever magnetic anomaly it has...?

maybe stop using it as a mop, or try moping your floor once every 2 weeks?
